Hello cuties,

Please note: You shouldn't watch this if you haven't seen ALL of Supernatural & you don't want spoilers.

I hope you enjoy this Supernatural 4x18 Rewatch with the ever so lovely AfterShowReactions! I loved doing this, returning to Supernatural filled me with so much Joy & knowing how it all ends gave a new feeling when watching. Also having the company of Shan was great too, hearing someone else's views while watching is a different experience and one i'd love to do more too! We had some issues understanding parts of this episode when re-watching & I hope you guys can share your ideas and thoughts on those points below :) Supernatural is a brilliant show & one that we can all share our love for together.

Let me know what you think & if you'd like me to do this again? This full cut will be a Devil's Trap & above exclusive video & in the future it may appear on Youtube edited down as well.

Much love & stay safe out there!

Dakara x

To me, I can see how Chuck would have still been God even back then. I think those times we see him alone and he's dreaming, he's doing that because he knows the angels are watching him and he's Acting for them. Even when alone. He's acting and manipulating everything. The whole thing about Free Will is big for me. It seemed like Sam and Dean were able to push their free will ahead regardless what Chuck laid in their path. But in season 15 they made that really hard. I hated what was happening in season 15 and that Good Luck part really really really pissed me off. It was just like everything they'd done was a waste. As well as all the and ghosts they'd killed coming back. I think Dean had very good instincts and was often right, but no one would listen to him. Sam always wanted to overcome his "badness" by being the One that can save the world. That there was a Good reason for what he is. But it was also ego. And he did like the feeling. So he let that mess with him and if it weren't for Dean in this episode, Sam would have been in serious trouble. I agree with all your other comments. I do think that Sam's character was limited by his story arc and by how the character's personality was written. Not much for Jared to work with. But, I do think that Jensen was able to make Dean stand out beyond what he was written to be. A bit about Mary. Jensen and Jared would have been totally Ecstatic! to give over screen time to other characters. They wanted some more time off and actually talked with the studio about it. But, the producers and studio/network were so convinced that Sam and Dean had to be in every episode, at least a little. And the main characters in most episodes. The most they did to give J2 a break was to reduce the number of episodes a season by 1 or 2.

When Chuck asked Dean in this episode "What are you doing here? I didn't write this." I remembered that Chuck said in season 15 to Cas "... The self-hating angel of Thursday. You now what every other version of you did after 'gripping him tide and raised him from perdition?' They did what they were told. But not you. Not the one off the line with a crack in his chassis" This is really interesting because that means our version of Cas wasn't controllable by Chuck anymore. Chuck never intented Cas to fall in love with Dean but he did and made him unreachable for Chuck. And the fact that Dean prays out to Cas whenever he doesn't know what to do anymore is so pure. So their love for eachother made them stronger in a bigger way.
