Fun S3 opening episode. Seeing more of Chidi & Eleanor is brilliant. I love Simone too she's great! Michael meddling again, he just cant help himself. He wants them to succeed so badly it's great to see. Janet is as fantastic as ever! I love that Eleanor & Chidi are so different yet they have the most interesting friendship no matter how many times they're reset lol. Excited to see where this goes!

Love the save montage in the beginning showing how micheal saved everyone especially coming off of his season 2 character arc. Chidi gets another lesson in real life situations. He thinks that just deciding to do something is enough but forgets that there are risks to doing things and that causes his regression because of his fear returning. We all suffer from fear at starting something because of risks of failing or being wrong. This stops him from even deciding on simple tasks and even taking the intuitive to ask out simone when she was giving hints. I don't know if you have ever been on this end dakara but asking someone out makes us guys feel so vulnerable. When women give hints we sometimes rationalize it as just being friendly because of that fear of being wrong and making things weird. So if you ever gave obvious hints to a guy and he seemed to ignore them it maybe it was because of those fears. Simone's joke about it being inappropriate is our worst fear lol.

It SO is... that was mean of her imo lol in a playful way, but damn way to hit on the insecurities hard right off the bad. I still, at 36 yrs of age, struggle to know the difference between "she's giving me a sign" vs "she might just be a really friendly (or flirty) person with no romantic interest towards me". Unless I'm told "you're hot and I like you" I'm gonna assume you just wanna be friends... mostly out of fear that you're gonna go tell your girls that I'm a creep. Creepy is like... the ultimate adjective we are trying to avoid.

Fun fact (maybe): Kristen Bell's first big TV role was Veronica Mars (which I highly recommend if you haven't seen it). It originally ran 3 seasons in the mid 2000s, but also had a fourth season produced by Hulu in 2019. Kirby Howell-Baptiste (who plays Simone) was also a reoccurring character in that season of Veronica Mars.
