Rating - 10/10 - BABY you are so much more than just a car!!! I really enjoyed this episode guys. It was a one off episode but so much fun to watch & experience. Was so well done! I discuss in a lot more detail at the end of this video so be sure to stay tuned for that.

This is a really good episode. I can see why it would be the favorite of many people. I really like it, but don't think I can say it's a "favorite". I always get stuck on how I like the monster part. Everything about the episode was really good except that part for me. Especially the scenes between Sam and Dean. I loved those! Poor Dean just wants to have some fun with his brother, but Sam's never up for it. I bet this is one more time when they wanted JDM, but he wasn't available. I like how Sam handled the conversation with fake John. Dean does does get touchy with religious stuff. I actually don't blame him. Given the track record of what's gone down with the heaven squad and past efforts to get gods help. And Sam always hoping for there to be some greater "good" power at hand. Guiding them/him. It hasn't worked out for them in the past. But, mostly, I thik Dean was not so much dismissive, and trying to keep Sam from getting his hopes up too much. That's pretty much what Dean does. Don't get your hopes up because nothing ever works for them and it will just hurt more if you have hopes.I don't think Dean wants to get close to more people because of the cost when - not if - they die. That's how I see it. He has strong emotions - both good and bad - and he takes it really hard when someone he loves dies. So better to not let it get to that point in the first place. So, no relationships. And, hey! Dean does read. We've seen evidence of that before. He's just not happy to let Sam take on the heavy lifting with all of the research. But it keeps surprising people when it comes up. Remember Kurt Vonegut back in season 4, when talking with Chuck in Monster at the End of This Book. Probably not. You've only seen it once, while I've seen it several times. lol But Dean has gone through a lot of the books in the bunker too. For sure when they were trying to find a cure for the mark. Only an older car made out of real metal and quite big, could have survived that crash

This is one of my favourite episodes. I really love the night moves scene and how it shows their bond. It’s so good to see them happy for a change. I also love the dynamic of the whole episode being shot from the car. It really shows how important the car is. The impala really is another character. Another thing is Castiel’s phone calls. I always laugh when Dean says werepire and there’s a long pause before Cas changes the topic. One last thing, I love the “turns out I did shoot the deputy” line. It’s a call back to all the way back in season 3. When Hendrickson says “I shot the sheriff” and Dean replies “but you didn’t shoot the deputy”. Overall a beautiful episode that works really well to help build this seasons plot but also give the viewer a breather. 10/10
