-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Elana reaches the end of the road and there, she finds a small plateau. In the middle, there's a sort of throne with a strange woman on it. The woman emits a strange energy and it seems... It seems as if she was experiencing a powerful orgasm.

The energy released condenses and the figure of a demon begins to take form. Starting with a gaseous state, the cloud begins to acquire a  fleshy tone, turning from being translucent to completely solid. The energy vanishes and a demon rises, staring at the woman.

“Thanks, Mom,”  Says the demon in a childish tone before walking away from the table, more than walking, joyfully hopping. The woman sighs between gasps and shakes her head. “Ah...These kiddos...” she exclaims. Then, the woman sets her sight on Elana. “Well, well... One of the main reasons behind all these lately increases of work...”

Elana's going to say something, but the woman raises a finger to silence her. “Be quiet, girl... Why do you always have something to say? Sometimes it's not necessary, you know? Silence can be a way to show some things too... respect, for example. Saying... Oops! Hello... Hey... and those things don't usually help when talking to a goddess...”

This time, Elana makes no attempt to talk and the woman sprawls on her throne, satisfied. “Well... What brings you here, Elana? No need to ask how do I know your name, I know it, that's all. Also, don't try to ask that fussy Spirit of yours, I'm talking to you. I insist... Do not disrespect me.” she says.

Elana feels a little embarrassed but ends up answering. “I... I came to give you the result of the elections,” says the fairy.

The woman nods. “Ah... These kids are so... interesting... They insist on making all sorts of strange things. You know that the mayor was the only one running for the elections? Everyone else is too lazy for that, but they still insist on carrying out this sort of things... But no... This isn't what I've asked you. Why have you come to my world?”

“Oh... That... Hmm.” Elana starts to digress but seeing the woman exhaling through her nose with force, the fairy decides to go straight to the point. “I came here to try to prevent the demons go back to our world and continue their attack on us...” explains the fairy.

The woman produces a dry laugh, lacking any humor. “Remarkable! So... in order to fulfil your quest... While your friend was giving me some extra work by butchering my little ones as if a madwoman... You've decided to wander around and fuck with them. No doubt, a remarkable effort” Now the woman laughs heartily.

“I couldn't do anything about Jenara... I was just trying to understand how this world works...” Elana says quite embarrassed. The woman moves her hand as if to belittle the whole subject. “I was not trying to fool you, I just found it... funny.”

“Actually, you've used your brains more than your friend, Jenara... This Jenara, she's such an easy going being... She ate one of my sons! The one who created the sect of love... A madcap. HA! When you think you've seen everything...  Anyway... Now, he's happy as a clam.”

The woman raises her head as if listening to something from the distance. “Still... Paradoxically... The one who has solved your problem was your friend! Just, she didn't do it in the way she expected... Well, girl, you can return to your world, you have fulfilled your mission.”

The woman stares at Elana, but this doesn't move a single inch. “Well?”  Asks the mother. Elana squints. “Who are you?” Asks the fairy, intrigued. The women shakes her head. “Really? It's been that long?”

Suddenly, Elana feels to be shrinking, or maybe, it's that woman who's getting bigger, her power, her aura of energy are coming back. “I AM THE GODDESS OF THE LEGION, THE MOTHER OF HORDES, THE BRINGER OF HOSTS...” She shouts.

Everything stops. “...Or, at least, I was. I got tired of that stuff. For eons, together with my sister, The One goddess, we were the incarnation of destruction, and that's not metaphor, We were destruction, literally, we jumped from world to world undoing their very existence...”

“I was the mace and she was the arm... but I got tired of her egocentrism... Anyway, Can't blame her for being The One goddess... Ultimately, I realised that our goals were completely opposite, mine is creating, while her's is to be the last being to endure in the whole existence.”

“That's why I retired... And created my kids...  They might look strange because their understanding of love is different from yours, but that's because you all live in your little bubble, you're not able to see beyond the end of your noses...”

The woman stretches her arms. “What a better and more intense way to love than the physical destruction? And, as long as I can recompose them, they're fine with that. By the way, I've recomposed the ones who fell in your world due to my children. Now they are my children too.”

“Oh, well...” says Elana who had lost a track of what the woman was saying. This laughs heartily. “Rude, no doubt! How curiously remarkable! I'll sum up to stop boring you, mortal. I am a retired goddess, who entertains by watching, without intervening, the progress of its creation...”

The woman taps her cheek with her index finger. “You know? You remember me of my sister, just before she turned into an obsessed deity, leading us to our quarrel. I like you... Such a pity that she'll pay you all a visit... soon... Well, now that I think... you've already met her! At least, a shadow of her... Definitely, this is going to be... interesting.”

“Wait! What?... Your sister, who wants to destroy everything, is going to do what?” Asks Elana, suddenly alarmed. The goddess laughs. “If I tell you everything, it won't be funny anymore, isn't it...?” She says before staying pensive for a while. “Take this.” She finally says. A stone that was decorating her throne emerges from this and flies into Elana's hands.

“I no longer need it. Give it to the guardians. That will piss her off and make everything more... funny.” That said, all around Elana begins to darken. “Wait!” Protests Elana, but the woman just waves her hand in farewell. The darkness surrounds the fairy, embracing her entire body.

All of a sudden, Elana is back in front of the gate. She has no longer the gate key. However, she finds among her things, the strange stone that the woman has given her.

“Elana” Jenara comes running down the road. “Jenara! Are you okay?!” Asks the fairy. The general nods. “Yes... It's over... But...” Everything around turns dark.

“What has...?” Exclaims Jenara. “I think the goddess of this world has cast us away,” Answers Elana. Jenara raises an eyebrow questioningly. “It's a long story...” says the fairy. Jenara nods. “It's all over... They did not really mean to attack us,” begins to tell the general.

“I know... But, How did you make them stop?” Asks the fairy. Jenara shrugs. “It was almost by luck... I kept slashing and killing them... At least, what I thought it was killing... more and more of them came... The hours passed, and despite I stood still, I was feeling so frustrated... and I started to yell at them...”

“...Between insults and curses... I think what I said was something like... Stop coming to our world, stop coming to kill us... Then, they stop dead, almost frozen... They asked me what I meant... I kept tearing them but they stood quiet while still asking me, so eventually I stopped and talked with them...”

“It seems that, for them, what we understand as aggression and violence it turns to be love...  And by attacking us, they were trying to express... their... Love... When they realised what they were doing to us, they felt devastated...  Almost... catatonic, they've sworn to never come back to our world... Anyway ... I think that this is finally over...”

Elana nods. “Yes, I think it's over.” Jenara nods and smiles back. “I have to meet with the innkeeper and give her report of all of these.”  She says giving a warm hug into the fairy's shoulder before leaving her way to the camp.
