Hello sexy deviants,

So the one thing I need to start considering is how I am going to scale, there are 100's possibly 1000s of different variations of sprites I will need to make for this game, so I need to start considering where I can make my life easier, but also help ultimately speed up development.

So when I say "sprite building" in my heading, what I think im going to do is standardise on body animations for Warriors, Sorcerors, and Rogues - and what then changes is the head (to clearly identify characters) - and the colour of the body, and body outfits.

For alternatives outfits for say "The Maid" outfit, each subclass with have a unique style of maid outfit.

I hope this all makes sense, and you can understand where I am coming from - but if you have reservations or concerns, let me know :)

Well it being your first game it might be best to just go with color changing vs costume change. You could always release the game beta or alpha bare bones just to prove concept and build from there

Since this is a hack and slash game. You can also do the same for the enemies. For e.g. Enemy knockback on hit will have the same animation and then you can only change the necessary elements to make distinctions.
