“Are you serious, you Commoner?” Darius hissed and lashed out with his hand, which almost hit his servant if he would have been a step closer. “I am going to a party orchestrated by the Prince, for lord's sake! I can’t be going half-assed like this! He would think I have lost my prestige!”

“I apologize, my lord…” the young servant exclaimed and bowed, not daring to look the angry lord into the face that very moment. “I thought we had prepared it perfectly before. I’ll have the head maid personally iron your suit out again ”

“Yeah, do that. While you're at it, let's check over the rest of the clothes again as well. My reputation is on the line, so I won't stand for anything less than perfect!” Darius huffed, then shook his head.

“As you wish. Should I…”

“What’s your name?” Darius interrupted.

“Melas, sir.”

“Melas, huh? There is no need to carry all the things away. Leave the rest of the clothes and jewelry here and let me check over them as well. As you know I am quite the harsh critic.”

“As you wish…”

‘It’s already good you damn bastard.’ Melas held back a sigh and the urge to punch Darius in the throat as he worked. His head ached, but he refused to look away. The urge to sigh came forward as he watched Darius’s face twist into horrified disgust.

“Is there something wrong sir?”

“No… this won't do. The necklace definitely needs another pearl… in red would be the most appropriate color. And I can’t shake the feeling that my golden bracelet just looks a little bit off today.”

At that, Melas briefly shuddered before resuming with his usual fake work smile and saying: “Another red pearl would surely improve the necklace by a lot. And your eyes are good to have noticed that. We have given your bracelet to a new special blacksmith, who used a new technique on it to make it even more extravagant. What do you say, my lord?”

“I say that he has done a quite interesting job. I guess that's just something I have to try out at the party then. I’ll see if this technique really pays off.”

‘Oh and how this technique will pay off. Just you wait!’

Melas walked out of the room to get them. The moment he was out of there, a vindictive smile came to his face. Another one of the butlers caught his attention, who looked as if he had just come out of a fight with a bobcat.

“Evening Roland, how are you holding?”

“‘Bout as well as can be expected with how he wanted me to sweep the room again.” Roland sighed. “With the way he notices some things off about a room, you would think he has a pair of magical eyes or something?”

“Shouldn’t have tried to slack off unless you knew you could get away with it.” Melas rolled his eyes.

“At least I don’t have to be with him every day like you do. Can’t have a moment’s peace can you. I don’t know how you managed to survive for the past month.” Roland shook his head. “To be honest it's actually kinda impressive what the young lord did for this land. It wasn’t even five years ago when most people around here didn’t even know how to make ends meet practically every week.”

“And then he just became an overly entitled stickler for details just to impress a few of those who have a higher standing than him so that he could slime his way to the top.” Melas countered.

“You can’t really deny that it worked out very well though.”

“Yeah, for him. Now if you would excuse me, I have to get some things out of the study for the party,” Melas said, angrily stopping past Roland by this point.

“Right, take care man. Hope you enjoy yourself at that party.”

Melas smiled. “Oh trust me. I shall.”

‘Why is he like that? Why is everyone like that? Darius literally only slimes his way up the food chain and complains all day while we work. How is Roland or anyone for that matter constantly defending him,’ Melas thought as he rushed around the building, making the last few preparations for the party.

‘No matter. I have the perfect plan to expose him for everything he has done wrong. He will destroy his own career without even being able to stop himself. Hehehe.’ That's when Melas prepared to enter Darius’ room again, holding the red pearl of the necklace and wearing his fake smile.

“Here is the missing pearl. Is everything else to your liking now, sir?” Melas asked as he put the last pearl on the necklace.

And after a good five minutes more of Darius checking over his suit, accessories, the gift he brought with him and even the suit Melas himself was going to wear, Darius finally smiled. “This is acceptable. Let’s move out towards the party, my butler Melas!”

“We have arrived sir.” Melas struggled to hide his smile. His eagerness to see his downfall made him smile as if he was a small child watching a parade for the first time.

“Good. Now Melas, wait off to the side for me with a drink. The moment that I am talking with the prince I would like you to come over and bring it. I have a lot of matters that I need to discuss with the prince. Both what is going on in certain circles and some business ventures I think the crown might be interested in.”

Melas’s body shook with ecstatic glee. “Of course! As you wish, sir.”

Darius nodded. “Very good—now then, off with you. I need to talk and have my presence known here, or else rumors will start flying.”

‘You could not make this any better for me if you tried!’ Melas snickered. He went over to get him a glass of wine and watched through the crowd, staring at him, waiting for the moment it would all come together.

And of course, after a few pleasantries and whatnot, the prince finally approached Darius for their one-on-one chat. And when the bracelet started to glow, it was his signal to step in and deliver the goods. And maybe even some good news.

“...interesting. And how exactly did you accomplish such a feat? Your land sure has gained prosperity during your time as lord, which definitely piqued my interest.” The prince asked in a most polite way, really exuding his royal aura.

“Well… A lot of factors played into that. But I guess mostly it's…” Darius was about to answer, when Melas interjected. “...it’s because of your incredible tenacity and attention to detail, is it not?”

Melas stumped both of the nobles, before bowing to the prince. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Prince Zecharias. I am the butler of Lord Darius. Can I treat you to some wine?”

“Oh? I’ll gladly accept that offer.”

After both had taken the drinks of Melas, Darius gave him a look that said ‘What the heck are you doing?’, which was exactly what Melas wanted. The enchantment on the bracelet should force Darius to play along with anything Melas did, so it was time to fully and completely put on a show.

“Prince Zacharias, if you allow me to speak freely for a moment, I'd like to give you a word of what it is like to work for a wonderful master like Lord Darius.” It took him a lot to make this not sound sarcastic, but the prince seemingly bought it, which was all that mattered.

“So even your servants speak highly of you?” the prince replied, completely playing into Melas’ hand which just made him smirk. “Yes, you may speak to satisfy my curiosity.”

“Thank you. You see, our master is very perfectionist when it comes to all sorts of details, no matter when or where.” Melas started to uncontrollably smile, when he saw the bracelets shimmering ever so slightly brighter and added: “Which is why it took quite a long time before we were able to pick out this wonderful dress for our lord. Anything of lower quality just wouldn’t be sufficient for them. And on top, the red just really works well for our Lord.”

“Y-yes~ Naturally! I wouldn’t want to wear anything less sophisticated for a great event like this! Ahaha…” Darius let out, seemingly against his will. Which was something Melas expected, since that enchantment only let Darius go along with what other people say and didn’t let him voice any complaints at all. Now all he could do was watch as the second part of the enchantment kicked in.

Darius’s clothes shifted, much to Melas’s glee. His fine dress suit merged together with his pants. All of the finer stitches and embroidery had shifted and seemingly melted into his clothes, while the jewels shifted to better accommodate the transforming attire. All of the decorative buttons on them disappeared into the clothing and joined the lining on them. A sash formed around his waist that hugged his stomach.

Fabric around the shoulders and the sides of the dress reduced slightly. A small cut formed on the chest of the dress, exposing just a little peak of his chest. The color of Darius’s dress shifted with the upper getting darker, while the bottom half gained a rosy tint to it. The colors became more prominent until they had a stylish long black and red ball dress. His pants legs merged together and then exploded out on the inside, perfectly covering the majority of his legs, but leaving just his shoes revealed. The back of the shoes he wore rose higher, making him stumble slightly, right into the prince.

Melas tightened, struggling to hold back the snort that desperately wanted to come out. ‘Oh dear, how will you react to that my lord?’

“I guess the moment of truth has come then.” Darius laughed weakly, his expression being somewhere between confused and embarrassed, yet unable to properly show it. “Then did my attire manage to impress you, my prince…?”

The guy was a male noble in a pompous dress made to order for a princess, and the curse forced him to just roll with it. And Darius wore the exact expression you would expect him to in a situation like this, while Melas enjoyed every second of it.

“Yes… I must say, it fits you quite well. Your servant did an outstanding job.” The prince answered, much to both Melas’ and Darus’ surprise.

‘Huh? I thought he would only not notice the transformations and then just see Darius in a dress and laugh at him, but that doesn't seem to be the case.’ Melas thought, then chuckled. ‘Alright, then let’s have a lot more fun with this!’

“You’d be surprised how much work our lord does himself.” Melas said, giving a huge smirk to Darius. “Because despite how dainty, small and fragile his frame may look, most of the time he is the one personally checking and working over most tasks he gives us.”

“Ah. So a man of action as well as words. Fascinating." The prince let out eying Darius intently, yet missing that his body had already started to shake and change again.

“As they say~ Don’t give people a task if you can’t tell how it’s done right… Ohoho~ ”

And right on queue Darius’s body dwindled almost like a balloon losing air. His broad shoulders lost some of their girth, while his arms gained a feminine mystique to them. All of his muscles got smaller, losing a lot of their hardness. The dress then seemed to move ever so gently closer to the floor, but to Melas it was clear that that was because his legs were going through the same shrinkage as the rest of his body. His jewelry remained put, as if it had been properly fastened to his body’s diminishing dimensions.

Melas watched as Darius got smaller and smaller, his clothes not missing a beat to shrink as well. No matter how his size seemed to change, his elaborate dress continued to conform to his body with the same elegance it had when it first transformed. When the time came to end the shrinkage for now, Darius had lost a full head of height, almost looking like a young scrawny teenanger who had slipped on a dress, rather than an adult man.

The tall and mighty Darius reduced to nothing more than a tiny guy in a red dress right in front of the prince. Simply priceless. But not the end of what Melas had planned for him. Oh no~

“Ahaha~ Please excuse my rudeness, Prince Zacharias. But I think I’ll have a bit more of the sweets you generously provided. We can pick up the conversation la…” Darius wanted to say, but Melas interrupted, having foreseen this exact move way in advance.

“Don’t worry, Lord Darius. That is what I am here for.” Melas said, handing Darius the tablet he still held with his favorite sweets on it. “You just continue on your business with the prince while I go and get some more snacks for the both of you. After all, we don't want you to tire out your massive thighs with meaningless tasks like this~”

“Ahaha… N-Naturally! What was I even thinking?” Darius weakly laughed in confirmation, even though his face really said that he wanted to leave this conversation as fast as possible.

“Oh my.” The prince gasped, then went into a thinking pose for a moment before adding. “Are you saying that lord Darius possesses a large hindquarters on top of his other qualities?”

“Without a doubt the biggest one in the room, your majesty! Ohoho~” Darius laughed cockily, though you could tell that he was already feeling the effects of his words on his own body.

Melas knew that after what he had just said, he needed to walk away from that pair to get some more snacks, though right now he wished that he was a master of moonwalking. Because the show that was happening back there was truly amazing to watch.

It was like it was a race between the dress and Darius’ behind, growing and surpassing each other time and time again. One moment you could see how his growing behind firmly left dents on the dress, before the dress expanded once again to hide his ass under it. Then the dents appeared again and so on.

It took everything for Melas to not laugh at Darius and maintain his dignity, but no one was ever going to take his lord seriously again after being forced to dress in fancy and poofy dresses only so that his double waterballoon asscheeks wouldn’t stand out among everyone.

Actually Melas didn’t exactly know how Darius’ behind looked at that very moment, but he was patient enough to be willing to wait until he was back at the mansion. Though he could see that Darius himself was definitely trying to get a feel for his new size with his hand that he was constantly trying to discreetly smuggle to his behind to touch it.

At that, Melas had to giggle as he reached the buffet once again, refilling the tablet once again with the few sweets that he knew Darius liked. It occurred to him that he maybe should take some of the other sweets as well, the ones Darius didn’t like so much. But that literally couldn't do anything, because the moment he said something like “But you like them so much sir, right?”, the bracelet would actually make that true, which would not really accomplish anything.

Better to focus on the stuff that could embarrass…

“AAAHHHHHahaha…! Ohohoho!!!” could suddenly be heard through the entire room, making everyone go quiet for a second and looking. Melas knew that this voice had clearly been Darius’, even though it sounded a lot different and kinda cute as well. A lot more feminine too.

“Did something happen?” Melas asked after rushing back to the two, where the prince was trying to gesture to everyone that everything was okay and Darius was bright red in his face with both hands in front of his body, yet looking like he was pressing on his crotch.

“Nothing major, no need to worry.” The prince assured, yet Darius’ face clearly said something like ‘help me’. And after looking back at the prince, he continued to explain. “I just joked that Lady Dahlia might be a top contender for prettiest girl at this party. I had no idea that joke was this funny.”

‘Ah. That explained it. That prince just took away that guy's manhood without even realizing it. The plan kinda doesn't work as well if Darius is a girl, as now everything should be much less embarrassing for him, but oh well.’ Melas shrugged, then let out a fake relieved sigh.

“I was worried there that something had happened to my lady.” He lied, trying to sell it as convincingly as he could. “After all, many people are after girls with pretty faces like hers!”

“Stop it~ You flatter me too much!” Dahlia let out, though the prince then interjected.

“It’s true though. If you made your pretty brown hair into long twintails, I am sure you would make for the perfect damsel that anyone would want to protect.”

“Oh my~ Is that an order, your majesty? Maybe next time I will really consider it~ Ohoho~” Dahlia responded, though Melas could already see how her face was barely keeping up a consistent expression.

It was shifting, changing into a more round shape… a cuter shape. Her eyes grew a bit while her eyelashes almost doubled in size. Her cheekbones rose a bit, giving her a much softer expression as well as a bit rosier cheeks. Her nose became cute in less than a second and when that was done almost no trace of Darius' manly face was left.

Though it was his hair that definitely changed in a considerably less subtle way. After all, the growth of hair cascading down the back of her head could hardly be called subtle. It quickly reached to around the middle of her waist when suddenly two golden hair clips appeared out of thin air. And seemingly just to fulfill the prince's desire, they tied together her hair into two long twin tails, which somehow really gave her a majestic appearance.

“Or maybe you don’t even have to wait for that.” Dahlia laughed as she brushed one of her twin tails over her shoulder, in a very arrogant lady-like way. Melas was impressed at how much of a bratty girl she had already become despite being female for maybe five minutes.

“How did I not notice sooner?” The price gasped, then laughed it off. Though Melas already had the perfect response for that, to which a devilish grin once again formed on his face.

“It is not surprising, considering how strong the twin hills of her body work as eye magnets. Let’s just say that if we would have made the chain of the necklace any longer, it might have fallen into a pit so deep we would never be able to get it out.”

“So what?” Dahlia replied, puffing her chest out, though her body was clearly shaking ever so slightly. “That just means you need to work more diligently when preparing jewelry for me. Surely not a task that is too difficult for you, right?”

“Naturally I am up for the task.” Melas answered, bowing briefly before his gaze returned to the mounds that were clearly forming on his lady's chest. But he couldn’t help but push a little bit harder by saying: “mainly because I prefer to serve a lady that has personal experience with mountains, rather than plateaus!”

At that, her chest truly began to kick the growth into overdrive and because of her pride, she refused to take any other pose than crossing her hands below her increasingly larger bust. It was a blast for Melas to watch as her chest first pushed over her hands, then grew further over them, then seemingly dwarfed them until one could hardly even see her hands below her chest.

She once again was bright red in her face, yet it almost looked like her pride, or rather the magic of the bracelet, didn't let her complaint or comment on the clearly pleasurable growth of her chest one bit. Though now that Melas looked a bit more carefully, she really just looked like a full blown beautiful aristocrat, even if her stance made her look a bit… bratty.

It made Melas question if he kinda lost his objective out of his eyes there for a second. After all, Dahlia really didn’t look too embarrassed about the whole situation anymore. In fact, she looked rather pleased… for some reason, which made Melas beyond confused.

“Lady Dahlia, I might have something important with you to discuss in private. Do you mind following me into another room?”

“Oho? An invitation from his highness personally? Who would I be to refuse something like that?” Then Dahlia turned to Melas and said. “Melas, stay here for now. If his majesty wants to talk in private, then we should respect that, agreed?”

“As you wish, my lady.” Melas bowed, though he was really taken aback by the prince's sudden request. Yet before the two could turn around and go, Melas managed to say: “Don’t let your entitled attitude show too much around the prince!”

Dahlia just replied. “Don’t worry~ The great me knows exactly what I am doing~ Ohoho~”

And with that, both of the nobles left the room together, which left Melas without anyone to follow, which was something he really didn’t see coming. Like at all.

‘But oh well.’ Melas thought as he walked towards the buffet once again. ‘I am sure no one will mind if I just help myself to some food in the meantime. I can’t wait to see what the prince is now actually doing to poor old Darius.’

‘Oh sorry… I meant Dahlia. Hahaha.’ He giggled to himself. Turns out that without a lord to constantly serve, a party like this can be fun even for someone of Melas’ standing. Who knew~

“You what…?!?” Melas gasped, almost dropping the tea he was holding as the maids around Dahlia helped her out of her dress. Both of them had gone straight back to the residence after the prince and Dahlia had come back from their private talks, which surprisingly took over an hour and a half.

“My beauty must have really left an astounding impact on that cute prince~ Which is somehow very unexpected and totally plausible considering my greatness~” Dahlia replied, throwing her hair back with a smug expression on her face that almost drove Melas completely mad.

“No. I mean did he really offer you to become…”

“And what's so surprising about that?” Dahlia countered, having changed into clothes that looked a lot more casual on her. Another red dress, but one that was much less pompous, shorter and much more practical to move in.

“The effects my work has on my land can’t be denied. My help and organization in so many fields is what literally keeps this land together. And if you add to my achievements my undeniable charm and beauty… of course I would catch the eyes of the prince~”

Melas was at a loss of words. He quickly served her the tea he was holding while searching for any type of response he could give. But nothing came to his mind for a good while, even after all the other servants had already left the room. That's when Dahlia smiled after taking another sip of the tea.

“Did my new beauty now even steal your heart as well~? Man, and I thought today couldn't get any better anymore.” She laughed, then took another sip from her tea, as Melas’s eyes went wide. He was scared to ask, but his curiosity got the better of him.

“And i-if I may ask… what good things happened today?”

“You probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you, but the gods smiled on me personally today. They just really wanted me to succeed, which just goes to show how special I really am.” She laughed, then stood up from her bed with both hands on her admittingly very wide hips.

“They saw that I had what it took to get far in life if they only made a few adjustments. So they fixed my dress, made my boobs a bit bigger, my behind more appealing, make sure my hair matched to what the prince wanted to see~ Maybe changed some other small stuff… and now I am engaged to the prince himself because he could no longer resist me~ Ohoho~” She laughed with her hand held up in front of her mouth.

“And I am fully content with what happened, because they also made the prince really cute for me~ I don’t know how, but I never thought of a man as cute or handsome before, yet this prince is totally my type now~ Some people are simply born different~ I can’t wait for what the future holds! Ohoho~” She laughed once again, and this time Melas' feet almost gave away as he wanted to collapse onto the floor and start crying.

How…?

How did he manage to cause the asshole stickler for details Darius that always complained about everything… to become the prime candidate for becoming the next queen?!? How could someone even mess up that badly?!?

And most importantly… how did this girl become even more obnoxious and entitled than she was before?!?
