This page is interesting for a multitude of reasons. Only... I can't get into some just yet.
Also, don't bother looking for the script page, it's not here! It contains spoilers.

You see, the way I scripted page 8, it all went too fast to my liking. I didn't like the pacing and the timing. In the original version, literally, panel 1 divided in two. The first half displayed Delilah being stunned into silence, like the panel is right now. The second half would be what now is panel 3, Delilah putting her hand on Jenny's shoulder.

I wanted there to be more tension. I wanted like a slow motion effect. That meant adding a panel. And the page that follows was too quick as well, so that needed more panels as well. So I split page 8 into pages 8 and 9 (or pages 8a and 8b, initially).

So look forward to the script page for this one in the next making off, once page 9 is published. :-)

Another thing you'll notice is.... color! Why am I sketching in color?
Well, sometimes it helps a lot! There's sketching with lines, which is what you're used to from me. Sketching in shapes and colors offers instant clarity though. It's much easier judging depth and roundness than it is in mere lines. It's hard to explain. But sometimes when I'm unsure, I will quickly color in a panel, like panel 1 right here. Or just don't even bother sketching lines first, and just start in color, like panel 4.

Usually, I try not to do this. I like my sketches looking neat. But in this case, who's gonna see, am I right? Of course, this was BEFORE I decided to do a little making off series and show off the sketches and process.... dammit.... :-P

Also, like I pointed out in the previous making off: Continuity. I completely forget about Delilah's helmet here. Heck, in the previous sketched page, I even let her DROP it. That would have perfectly ruined this entire page. I doubt Jenny would scare so easily as this, when right behind her, a helmet had dropped to the floor seconds earlier. ;-)

You can see in panel 2 how I erased the hand, and drew it again, but with it holding the helmet.

Continuity is also making it hard to draw Jenny properly. For every panel, I have to check which hand was hurt again. It's bothersome. But I may have a solution for that. Stay tuned for that! :-P

The final page was posted 2 days ago, but I'm writing this before it's published, so.... you'll have to look for it yourself to properly compare. ^_^
