Here's how the first real comic page came to be.

First, I start with a script. In some cases Pecu will have turned in a first draft of the script, in just text. Sometimes he doesn't. It mostly depends on which of us has time to do the first draft. :-)

My first draft is always visual though. And in this phase, I don't even try to make it look good. It's where I determine layout, dialogue, camera angles, poses and facial expressions.
It's a good and quick way to see if the comic works.

Pecu will almost always polish the dialogue somewhat, though quite often, the dialogue is lifted straight from Pecu's original story. Not so in the case of this chapter though! We've changed this chapter pretty much entirely from Pecu's original concept! EVERYTHING is brand new!

Anyways, once that's done and approved by Pecu, I start sketching for real, working in the poses and backgrounds. This is my favorite phase, really. I love doing this. :-)  (Image 2)

After that, it's lining and coloring. (Image 3).
Basically, it's almost the final version, but without shading. Still, I feel it's an important phase. This is where mistakes and continuity errors have to be caught.
It's probably the least interesting to this though. :-D
