And now for the good stuff!

So you're probably wondering what I even have to talk about. Well, it's only a week into 2023 and I wanted to share some bits and pieces with you before I vanish on a word bender.

1. Master Class is available on Audiobook!

So my latest novel is available on audiobook. You can get it from Amazon or Audible. If you decide to buy it, please leave a review on Audible if possible. You see, Master Class has allowed me to break into the Big Leagues (TM) which means I also get to deal with 

• Readers who hate themselves because they read the genre so 1 star everything
• Authors who are big mad that they can't find success
• Weird ass people who don't know how to properly review a book

You all did a phenomenal job of leaving reviews for Master Class the ebook. Last I saw, we had broken a thousand, which meant the 1-star reviews vanished into obscurity. In The Biz (TM), those early low rankings can destroy a book with the publishing strategy we used. It's a bit of a new ball game for us at Wet Leaf Press, but we came in strong and intend to continue doing so. In fact, I am going to draft the plot outline for MC 2 later this month.

2. Patreon

So just some record keeping tips from me to you regarding Patreon. I see patterns all the time in regards to Patronage. For example, there are a bunch of people who will sign up during the last few days after a chapter release, and then their card declines or they cancel before the start of the month. There isn't much I can do about that other than banning them.

However, there are a bunch of people who sign up, have their payment cancelled, then login six months later and realize that not only have they not been supporting this page, but they also are no closer to getting the next Patron award. 

If you are one of those people who likes to set it and forget it, make sure you keep in the back of your mind that you will see at least one Official Chapter a month from me in your email box. Patreon doesn't charge you for the stuff you miss, they only charge you what you owed when your card went offline.

3. Art

Speaking of money, I invested well over 2k in art for this page alone last year. I don't have the final numbers yet (it's actually way higher), but I do continually invest in improving this space. I know it's not something I have to do, but I would be remiss in not giving back to the people who have helped me get to where I am today.

That being said, there was a recent drop in Patronage that means I will have to cut back on art a bit. I'm afraid some of that money has already been committed to other projects that I hope you get to enjoy later this year 😉

4. Ways You Can Help

Don't forget that I have started moving HFHM over to Scribblehub and Archive Of Our Own. I'm hoping to hit trending on either of those sites and bring in a flood of new readers. So if you use either of those places, be sure to comment, like, or do whatever helps it get (positive) attention.
