August Update 2021 (Patreon)

Hi all!

This month has been super busy, but here's where we are at!

1. Book Three has finished line edits and has been returned to the editor for copyediting. Once that process is complete, all I will need is the cover art. A small hiccup in that process occurred when the project manager I was working with quit the company, so my emails weren't being read. Should be good now. I have also ordered art for the hardcover version of Book 3.

2. Special Edition Art for Book 3 (preview above) has only a few chapters left. Once that occurs, we can go back to regular monthly art. I'm afraid I don't have enough spare capital to do both (book art and regular art) every month and I really wanted to have Special Edition release as close as possible to the regular book.

3. Supposedly I will have another Patreon reward coming soon. I've actually tried on two other occasions to get something developed, but I am having the worst luck finding people who will actually follow through on potential commissions. No money lost, just frustrating as fuck to have someone say "I want to do the thing" and then never do the thing

4. 2nd Audiobook recording process is going slow. I was hoping to have it released by now, but Amber is quality talent who often gets told "they want your voice right now, you're getting on a plane." I don't fault her for building a career outside of recording monster smut and trust her to get it completed eventually.

5. Dead and Horny will be undergoing first round of developmental edits soon. I've just been too tired to get started.

6. Chapter 60 of HFHM won nonhuman story of the year over on Literotica. That was pretty exciting, thanks to all of you who actually voted for me when I asked you to.

7. We are going to have some signed books over at wetleafpress.com in the near(ish) future. Patrons will get a heads up a couple days before hand (something like "hey, starting at X time, they're on sale"). There won't be a huge stock of them, but it will be fun to put some of those out into the world. Right now, we're trying to figure out shipping integration on the website (so that you pay for shipping to where you live). As it was explained to me, there are plenty of programs that say they'll do the thing but then don't actually do the thing. We're trying to keep prices reasonable, international shipping will be a bitch though (in terms of price).

8. I've been nickel and diming this post for three hours now and forgot what I was going to put here.

Thanks to all of you who continue to support my craziness. I keep hoping this fall will slow down for me (in the real world) because I love doing this. I don't spend a ton of time at my desktop anymore and do most of my writing in bed or at the kitchen counter between moments. It just is what it is.
