Hi all!

Okay, so we're at the end of April and there's no way I'm going to be able to get chapter 69 out in the next few days. I tried really hard, but made myself a promise a long time back that I wouldn't rush just to make a deadline.

However, I will be using the extra time to try and get the first round of edits done on Book 3. The month has been rough enough that I definitely fell into a depressive funk. The smallest things were just dragging me down, and I had more than a few nights where I simply couldn't put words on paper. I compare it to trying to write in your journal while riding on a bus full of people that's driving through a storm. Every time I would have a coherent thought, it would inevitably dissolve like sea-foam on a breaking wave. Ugh. Even editing became a chore, because my brain would just start mis-firing as soon as I saw all that red ink. So I took some time off and have chewed through a bunch of books on my kindle. I don't often get a chance to just sit down and gobble up a book series or two, but it really helped my mental state.

I included a snapshot of Kat's current book art for chapter 4. You all picked Cecilia sending spirits to the other side, so for those of you who are $3 and up, you will continue to see polls on chapter art.

I'm still waiting for any progress on the audiobook. The delays have stressed me out a bit, but I have full faith in Amber's ability to get it done and do a great job. She's very busy doing the exact same thing I am (just in a different industry). As long as audiobook sales have continued success, I want to keep making them. We are toying with doing wider distribution (not just through ACX), but more on that at a future date.

Speaking of releases, my publisher quietly released the hardcover version of Last of Her Kind earlier this week. I will be doing a very limited autographed run on the new website once we get a few kinks worked out (the big one being my schedule). This will happen this summer at the earliest, it all just really depends on what new hurdle life throws at me.

This page keeps growing, and I feel very blessed to have you all. I am very excited to release Book 3 later this year (as well as Dead and Horny), and hopefully the audio edition of Labyrinth. I couldn't have done this without you and will keep working so hard to make sure these things happen!

I really must say I have been reading your stories since I found you a couple years. It has been amazing watching it grow and morph into something that is fantastic to read. Please keep up the wonderful work and looking forward to reading more.

This year has been pretty tough. No worries here, and thank you for communicating what is going on.

You are already working pretty hard, you are an amazingly resilient person and yet I believe that inspiration will never leave you. And sometimes the breaks are really beneficial.
