Hi all!

I've been a busy little beaver recently, but wanted to keep you in the loop with what is going on with the monster-verse!

Patron Rewards

As all of you should be aware, over time, your pledges do add up.  As of right now, if you hit $15 dollars, you get access to a Special Edition copy of HFHM. Also (once I'm not so slammed), you can earn your way onto the Hall of Caretakers where you can be immortalized for your contributions.

(The HoC is completely voluntary, and I will be likely updating it some time in March, so watch out for that opt in post, but don't hesitate to message me if you want on the list sooner.

Well, one reward isn't enough for me. This is still a work in progress, but take a look at my current list of Patron Rewards that are coming down the pipe. I am so grateful for a shot at a dream I never thought I could have, and I've always believed in being grateful and giving credit where it is due, so I have been working to expand the rewards my Patrons can earn as a way of saying thanks. My current dream for this page is to offer an experience above and beyond what other authors do (and maybe even raise the bar for them a little).

I know I keep bringing this up in other posts, but it is important to me. You work hard for the money that you give me, so I try to work hard to be worthy of your generosity. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Once I have the infrastructure for distribution figured out, start checking your inboxes.

Oh, and make sure you check this page when I post something! I know some of you pledge and wait for me to post to Lit, Wattpad, and SO, but you're missing out on some goodies by doing that! (but hey, I'm not your mom, so you do you)

Clitoride Awards

Thanks to everybody who took the time to help me catch up on nominations for the Clitorides. They did pull HFHM from the other categories (Book Two was dominating the BDSM story noms, but oh well), but Last of Her Kind (Last Arachne to Patrons) is sitting pretty on the scoreboard for Best Erotic Fantasy. Please keep an eye out for when official voting starts, because the competition is going to be really strong this year. (just look at how close the nomination scores are)

The Audiobook Version

Amber is still busy recording the audiobook, but became really sick this last month. We had been averaging a chapter every two weeks, but production here has slammed to a halt until she gets better (can't record while sick for obvious reasons). My goal is to have this done and available for sale by summertime, but I will release it once she has done her part.

Radley's Labyrinth for Horny Monsters

Remember this book? Okay, so here is the official word on it.

Obviously it's been delayed, and I sat down with my publisher last week with what I thought was a good solid copy of what may be the final product. Despite being edited (over a long-ass period of time), my publisher and I both had a long discussion about the number of errors the copy still had. I have a really strong feeling about the potential success of this story, and it certainly hinges on having a manuscript that is as clean as possible. This is also important because mistakes are 10x more obvious when a book is being narrated, and that is something that could happen again (depending on how well first audiobook does).

I want to release this story so that the wait is over, but I also want it to be a quality product. This isn't about perfectionism, but professionalism. I crave quality of story and structure in my tales, and now that I have improved, my finished product needs to be improved as well.

Anyway, after much debate, we decided to get a third opinion from our new editor Lyss (the editor of Last Arachne). After she gave the story a quick read, she heavily recommended that it go through one more round of editing (with several cited examples as to why) and it is currently in her care. If things go well, not only will this release by late spring, but the final product will be far better.

The Last Arachne

Aisoretto is the artist for the Last Arachne light novel, and if you remember, was recently in a motorcycle accident. The good news is that he is out of the hospital and has resumed work on the interior art of this story. So I'm going to give you a quick sneak peek of Ana just hanging out.

He thinks he will be done by April, and the final draft will be ready long before then.

(Publishing is hard, y'all.)

Dead and Horny

I'm still on track to complete the next chapter of the Dana/Lily adventure by month's end, so keep your eyes peeled for it. I have really enjoyed this side tale of mine, but mostly because I have been able to expand the monster-verse as well as go into Lily's backstory quite a bit. I have loved some of the fan theories that this story has sparked, so keep it up (cause some of you might be right).

Other Stuff

As my readership and patronage grows, always keep in mind that the best way to help (other than financially) is to let others know this place exists. I spend very little time marketing myself (and I'm not allowed to on Lit outside of my bio) because I am obsessed with my story first and my readers second. Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to mention my website or my Patreon in comments on Lit, Wattpad or SO, because I still get emails from people who have no idea that I published a book or that my Patreon exists.

Okay, that's enough from me. Be kind to each other and yourselves! Annabelle out!

All this sounds nice :) I have a question though. If you did a mic drop with the keyboard and keys are everywhere, how did you type that? ;)

You work hard and we appreciate it :)

Doing great Annabelle. Are all the rewards levels cumulative or starting fresh?

Annabelle Hawthorne

Everything is always cumulative. Once I get distribution settled, I’m gonna be sending out a few hundred messages.

Sounds really great :)

We rabid, drooling and most of time smiling Fans of Annabelle's Home for Horny Monsters ( and all of her sexy side tales ) may not be her top priority, but she always treats us very well, Although it could be we just love her stories so much! Between the Awards, the Updates and all the awesome Polls, she does go out of her way to make us feel involved, and I really love that! We get to participate in the creative processes of an author on the rise/growth/development of style(s). This is virtually unique and wonderful to witness! Gotta luv our Annabelle! TTFN

You are incredibly generous Annabelle the rewards which are not necessary will be greatly appreciated.

Awesome as always Anabelle! :-) As an aspiring-part-time-casual-volunteer-free-time-has-an-intense-non-editor-day-job kind of guy, i'd be really interested if you ever wanted to share examples of how your professional editor helps with structural / developmental editing. I mean to do yet another pass on book one sounds like a nightmare, and having read it and loved it, I genuinely can't imagine what kind of issues the editor found that would warrant the effort... I mean anyone with a good ear for language and a touch of anal-retentive attention to detail (me, tada!) can help spot typos and unpolished rough bits. But i've had trouble going deeper, as I really just don't have a sense of what kinds of things they're helping with... I always felt like critiquing deeper plot / structure would just be imposing my tastes / opinions, alienate the author and dilute the their freedom to just be themselves. (You're not the only author I volunteer for, sorry :-) But the others are mega slow part timers, and frankly not as good. ;-) Just genuinely curious, and definitely not looking for a new work, as the hours of my life are already over-committed. LoL -edit for clarity

Annabelle Hawthorne

It's actually a lot of subtle grammar/mechanics things that a lot of readers might not pick up on a read through, but you can definitely hear them when spoken aloud. And some are just obvious "well, you fucked this sentence up" kind of mistakes. I don't usually see those either, which is why I pay someone else to do it :)
