Hi all!

So I have a spot of news regarding Book One. My publisher and I had a long chat a couple months back (and by chat, I mean we got together for burgers and beers/wine) to discuss the direction of the series.

After nearly a year in the wild, Book One still has regular sales on Amazon, and we are hoping to see similar success with Book Two. However, during this debate, the cover of Book One came up.

There are people out there who aren't thrilled with it. Frankly, after almost a year, neither am I. I was very caught up in the excitement of a book release, and so stoked to see my name on the cover that I felt like I compromised too much in what I wanted out of it. And when my publisher asked about Book Two, I told him that I wanted to see something different for the artistic design, because I wanted something that felt more alive.

Naturally, it doesn't make sense to have book covers that are completely different from each other, so the decision was made to have the cover of Book One redone by a different artist, and then use that same person to do Book Two, Book Three, and so on.

I hope to do a slight relaunch of Book One shortly before the launch of Book Two. After nearly a month of going back and forth with the designer and the Design tier's advice, the final cover is nearly ready.

Henceforth, the old cover will be referred to as the Classic Cover, in case I need to mention it. I hope everybody has a great weekend, and take care of yourselves! You've earned it!

While I think book one’s cover isn’t bad (when compared to others in the same category) artwork can always be improved. And it’s very important for a marketing standpoint to have a series with similar covers. Can’t wait to see the new cover! And also happy to hear your publishing journey is on a great path to success. We were here first!! 🤪 keep up the great job!

Nice, telegraph's the genre well. Personally would have enjoyed a wide shot of the house but that's pretty simple.

Annabelle, as you know from many fan responses, we love YOUR wonderful world. If we note or complain that a side of the house shown on the new book #1 cover (so yummy!) is not really a shot of Mike's monster mansion, it is because we want it to be drawn from your creative thoughts (because they are both sexy and down right enjoyable reading!), food for future thoughts.
