Hi all!

Regrettably, I have begun to block some users from this site. I find it extremely disheartening to see the same people constantly pledging to this site and then backing out before a paid post hits, therefore avoiding paying a cent for any of the content. I get that some people pledge, decide this isn't for them, and then bail. No worries, thanks for trying it out. Some of you come and go based on finances, and that's cool too! I can actually see when you came, when you left, and how much you've given over time. I'm just grateful that you can give when you can.

When it is the third or fourth time I see your name pop up in my email as a new pledge when you have never contributed a dime, then you are stealing content the other people have paid for. Blocking you is more about making sure the people who are here legitimately are getting what they pay for - early access to stories, exclusive artwork, etc. This was something I really hoped I wouldn't have to do, but I have started seeing the same people pop in and out a couple times a month, making sure to do it between chapter posts so that they never get charged.

So if you've recently been blocked, keep in mind that I only blocked people who have subscribed multiple times without ever paying a cent. I care very much about the people here who continue to support me and this, in turn, is how I can support them. I want to protect the content that they have paid for.

I'm not even mad, truthfully, but I am very disappointed. All of my stories and art can be viewed for as little as one dollar a month. That is intentional. I grew up without money and know what it's like to want something and be unable to afford it. It sucks.

However, the idea that you wouldn't even want to contribute that much to a Creator tells me you are either in very dire financial straits or, simply put, crooked as all get out. In the case of the former, I certainly hope you get back on your feet soon. My stories are still uploaded to the web, so with a bit of patience, you will still get to read the adventures of Mike and the girls for free.

In the event of the latter, I don't know what to say, but your hand has been caught in the cookie jar. It's time for you to go home.

That's all from me. Expect another art poll in the next couple of days, and I look forward to an awesome February with everyone!

I think you’re doing the right thing. Thanks for your stories.

This makes me sad (the people abusing the system, not the blocking). Every now and then I look at my monthly finances and wonder if I should stop, but then I think about what I get out of it (new stories and stuff, and the warm and fuzzy feeling for supporting a creator) versus what it costs (less than what I spend on lunch on any given day) and realise its worth every cent and more. Now I want to up my tier..
