Hey all!

Only gonna do a couple of questions this month, but that's because the answers are a bit bigger than normal!

1)What is your inspiration for the house?

I've gotten a few different variations of this from many people. A few people have referenced Dr. Who, Narnia, etc. but so far, nobody has actually hit on the main inspiration for the home, so I figured I would let you in on the secret.

The main inspiration from the house comes from one of my favorite movies as a child. I really love horror movies, and for whatever reason, I watched House 2 over and over again. I was fascinated by the concept that so many different worlds were locked up inside of one building. The main basis for the house itself does come from this movie, and I was absolutely in love with the dog-erpillar. If you haven't seen this, give it a watch. It is weird in all the right ways.

Now, the TARDIS-like qualities of the greenhouse are straight out of Dr. Who (David Tennant, for those of you who want to ask ;P). I'm a huge Whovian, so I love the idea of rooms and spaces that are bigger on the inside.

If I could live in a Victorian style home, I would. I love the architecture, but don't want the hassle of dealing with any Historical Society problems. I actually had a friend in college with that exact issue - he could never update the wiring in his house because of it.

2) What are some things you like to read?

I do read some stuff on Lit, but my mainstream stuff is usually horror or fantasy. I am a big fan of Joe Hill right now, I love The Fireman. Blakely Crouch's Dark Matter was good. Grew up on Koontz and King. I read a lot of Terry Goodkind, and even some Piers Anthony growing up.

3) Do you really get that many emails about boners? (This Q made me laugh)

Mostly when I post new chapters of Iceman. I'm happy to know that people are getting off to my work (it IS erotica, after all). There are even a couple of people who have informed me that they read the chapters with their S.O. as foreplay, and I think that's awesome! Always feel free to tell me that you loved it, got off to it, whatever, but I don't need boner descriptions.

See you next time, be kind to one another!

I loved that movie as a kid! My favorite bit was John Ratzenberger's character (electrician and part time adventurer) and their trip to the Aztec temple. Just the general nonchalance he has on finding a time portal - "you see these all the time in these old houses."

Yshomatsu

This one time I was reading your story and it felt like a jet engine taking off!! So I ran downstairs only to find the washer going crazy as if possessed!!!

Tony Bates

I'll second reading with your partner. My lady and I do as well.

Annabelle Hawthorne

That was my favorite part too! I kept asking my dad if he had his own adventure movies, not realizing I recognized him from Cheers reruns.

I loved house franchise, it was cheesy and entertaining, but I can't blame you not wanting the issues with historical society's or historical houses. I just lost everything because of shitty wiring. and yes I'm back now that I'm not living in a motel.
