Thought I would ask this. I have had several people ask about monster-human pregnancy. I have no plans to do this in HFHM (yet) simply because adding a baby into any story becomes difficult, particularly when I am planning at least a few more books. However, this is something I could theoretically do in a Monster Bites tale. So, question is:

Monster Babies: Yes or No?

I put no because overall it doesnt interest me. It might be cute to see (imaginatively of course) certain monster babies. Might be neat to see flashbacks of some of the current one's childhoods.

I would also like people to keep in mind that any sort of babies would come at the end of the story, or the pregnancy itself would be at the end. I have debated doing flashback stories for some of the girls. If I ever do, it will be a poll choice.

I think it would be an interesting twist, though I would prefer it to be the "third act of the third act", i.e., something to conclude the entire story arc.

I love your writing style. I voted no .This story is presented with true caring and honesty without any jealousy from all involved. I would hate to see introducing a baby spoil that in any way. If you did it you would have to make it something they all wanted or needed to help them defend the house ect...

Oh, I definitely agree. If I was ever going to do the baby thing in HFHM, it would be a final book or epilogue to the story kind of thing.

I'm so happy to hear you say that about the jealousy part! In my mind, it would seem obvious that everyone should be jealous of each other, but I feel that is the easy way out. Monogamy is a largely cultural thing (and yes, I know it can be natural too!), and it didn't make sense to me that all of these mythical creatures would feel the same way about it.
