Since the manga is being compared to the anime here: The author has said in an interview (or Twitter?) that he prefers the anime and has solved some pacing problems and presented characters better. In general, the author is a real fan favorite, because he likes to talk to them. He ain’t gonna talk bad the adaptation obviously but the manga is still superior to the anime because the anime cuts some details which make the story better tbh.

Sure he's not going to bash it but he wouldn't have to say it's better than his manga. So I doubt he's being untruthful. The production of the show makes the anime a lot better imo.

Why is it obvious he isn't gonna bad talk the adaptation? How many mangakas/authors in general have shit talked their adaptations lol? If he didn't like it, he would've said so.

I don't know what the particular mangaka said about the anime adaptations, but I'm very sure that Tokyo Ghoul S2-End, The Promised Netherlands S2 and Beserk 2017 are not liked by the mangakas :D

Glad people in the replies have common sense. It's a similar situation in AOT. The author said the anime is the final version of the product or something, and people have been riding that one for years even when there's clear cases of the anime creating plotholes, retcons, simplified character arcs, and rushed plots. Combine a critically acclaimed adaptation with an original author from a culture of being non-confrontational and of course you'll get positive words like that

hello LM, there little porblem i though to bring up, im not at the highest tear of patreon so i se some vinland saga episodes blocked (as they should) episode 1-5 is open to watch and instead of episode 6 to open, episode 6-9 still locked and episode 10 opened for me... its not the first time the second or third i watch vinland saga so i can skip but i would like to watch in order to observe your experiense <3

@tom It’s kind of a bummer for sure. The anime really butchered Mikasa’s character imo. They cut out like most of her dialogue in the show.
