This episode is up there with the best episodes of this show in my opinion. I had to smile When Thorfinn learned to hunt for himself, even though it’s so tragic, That part was wholesome to me

You'll get it soon. maybe you look up how you pronounce Askeladd if you still cant get it within the first 10 eps lol. Or just listen to how they pronounce his name in the anime. They say his name a lot in the series

tbh them not knowing how to pronounce askeladd's name is just funny to me. let's see if they get to pronounce it well at some point, i'm just sitting here enjoying hearing whatever pronunciation they come up with next. i do really enjoy this episode and the next. i was really in the mood after your discussion and ended up rewatching the finale of the season while having lunch. just a fantastic show. now i really want to keep reading the manga but the latest volume isn't out yet and i prefer to read the official translations. thought it's really hard to wait because they take months with each volume and the volume itself doesn't even take an hour to read 😭 i'm a bit behind with mob because the beginning of the seasons are always a bit slow and i have quite a few shows to catch up with and not enough spare time but at least i'll have a buch of reactions to watch once i catch up.

I just pronounce it Danish / Norwegian. As a native speaker of one of the Germanic languages, this is the easiest pronunciation for me.

tbh idek what's the danish pronunciation, i just say "asheladd" but the e barely pronounced. it's how i read it should be pronounced and i just went with it.

yea thats a good mindset for this show. always keep in mind that 98% of the show is filled with "bad people". they are killers with close to no morals. that dont mean we cant like them as far as characters go. its like Walter White or Daemon. Terrible people but still fan favorite characters. Liking a bad person dont mean irl we agree with what they do
