I think before the 5th or 6th episode aired he said it was one of the most important episodes of the entire series and now that it's all out it **does** make a lot of sense. 😊

Oh actually since you two seem to be doing 2 episodes at a time for Mr. Robot, they released a VR episode at a comic-con the following summer, but realistically as long as you watch it after episode 6 you're fine. I'm all for you doing a binge watch. Maybe not multiple episodes a day, though. Just so that each episode can get the focus it deserves since they're pretty long unlike when you binged FMAB. But you could have a week or so where you watch one every day until you finish S1? I'm just coping at this point XD Also, I love how the youtube title has deteriorated to just "robot 104"

Does the VR thing work for you two? For me these sort of 360 youtube videos used to allow me to scroll through it, but now it displays it rotated with multiple copies.

Oh boy, this episode is pretty surreal for the first time. But it makes perfect sense when you rewatch the show.

i'll let a longer comment when i het to work before i open but let me tell you that my soul left my body when that music started in min 50 or so. i was getting ready for work and brushing my teeth and the music scared the shit out of me. i even chocked a bit with the toothpaste 😭😭😭 not used to that kind of editing on your videos lol

ok, now i can leave a decent (and as always, long, comment) first things first, every time they mention coney island in the show or you mention it in the review i have to restrain myself from start singing 'and i'm sitting on a bench in coney island wondering where did my baby go? he fast times, the bright lights, the merry go'... if that hideout in coney island is going to be a constant in this show i'm afraid i'm going to be thinking about taylor swift and the national a lot the next few months. i even had to listen the song on my way to work today because i couldn't stop humming it. anyway, now to the actual show. i am really fucking confused because as i mentioned i was pretty sure i watched the first season entirely back in 2015 but i cannot remember a single thing from this episode and in the last few i didn't remember much but many scenes were familiar. in this episode? NOTHING. and believe me, i do not forget when shows have sapphic representation. not that i'd count two girls high as a kite making out in a bathroom sapphic representation thought, but you get what i mean. also i did too get the vibes of darlene and the other woman (sorry, can't remember the name). at least from the other girl for sure, she was really making eyes to darlene. i was going to watch this alongside you in the full reactions but i admit i'm tempted to watch the next episode when i get home tonight. i'm also leaning towards the theory that mr robot is just in his head and i also thought about him imagining his father. so who knows... maybe. i just realised that one of the guys is that actor from this is us and he's also the father of one of the original actresses from hamilton, so i guess i'll also be streaming 'say no to this' along 'coney island' every time i watch this show.

it's not that it was loud, it was just unexpected. in all the time i've been watching their videos i don't think i've ever seen them editing like that (not that i'm complaining, it was funny). but i just didn't expect it and it startled me big time.

Another great reaction! If you think 2 eps a week is rough, watching live was horrible... 1 episode per week, Reddit discussions going feral. Another channel I watch decided to watch in batches of episodes. Such a moorish show but a great ride

The girl that was with Darlene is Trenton. I also feel like it's vague if she has a crush on Darlene or just admires her and is very shy, like with the whole scarf thing. This probably isn't gonna help you from holding back on watching more but the show isn't done with sapphic vibes

As someone that isn't really a reddit participant, I DEFINITELY was drawn to reading into the tech that I was not familiar with that they showcased in the show and theories came along with it, which kinda ruined some story things in season 2 for me. It also didn't help that I could NOT get any of my friends or colleagues to watch it until the middle of season 2 and even then, only two colleagues. To this day nobody wants to take it up, but I really love this show.

I love every once of Coney Island exterior they do, with so many faked locations in shows over the years I love that that arcade (the exterior at least) is right where it is in the show, even the railing they sat on for the push is appropriately near by and as they filmed it, except for the rocks ;)

Creator Sam Esmail has said he loves this episode "because it tells you everything without telling you anything." As someone who has finished the show (this is my first rewatch) I can confirm it's absolutely true. this episode hands you full series spoilers on a silver platter, but they are heavily encrypted and you just don't have the right key yet.

also - this show actively encourages analysis and is strong enough to support it. everything is done with intention and precision. the creator took over directing in season 2 so that he could make sure everything was specific. you're absolutely engaging with the show the right way, paying attention to what the cinematography and the various aspects of the writing/direction.
