Finally, lol. I get upset when I read an update that isn’t followed through on, and then I remember y’all have lives and if you didn’t, we wouldn’t get all your fun stories. All I want to say is the majority of reoccurring characters in this show are complex, some show tremendous growth, while others keep their motivations close to their chest. It’s a beautiful, well told saga with different depictions of love, hate, and a life worth living.

Haven't watched yet. I'm just going to say that I know the fact that some of the characters are unnaturally strong can throw you off since it is kind of meant to be a realistic show. Think of those as people who are made to be as strong as some vikings were described in stories. A few of the characters are super human, but it doesn't really matter since the story isn't about fighting powers.

I remember people where fighting on whether Demon Slayer or Vinland Saga was the best anime of the year for 2019. Demon Slayer ended up winning the award for best anime 2019, most likely because it was WAY MORE popular than Vinland Saga when they both were coming out. However, a lot of people thought Vinland Saga shouldve easily won, but to be honest both were amazing anime!

Quick clarification about Vinland Saga: the manga currently has 200 chapters and will probably end up with 215 - 240 chapters. The first season with 24 episodes came up to chapter 54. Season 2 has as far as I know again 24 episodes. That would be half of Vinland Saga already adapted as an anime. Theoretically the anime will have 4 to 5 seasons.

I have to admit that it also has its own touch, that they gave the Vikings the superhumanity they have according to some stories. This makes the anime less of a realistic retelling of events and more of a rendition of the Viking stories told, which somewhat showcases how the Vikings were viewed at the time.

I am unsure if they will manage to tell the third and fourth arc in one season each. The third arc is 67 chapters long, the fourth will have a similar number of chapters. So they would have to cut a lot. So I see more like 5 seasons.
