I agree with what you said at the start that Hughie telling Annie she has to stay in the 7 might be the worst thing he’s done, but it’s not like Annie is doing it against her will. Yes, she hates it and wants to leave, but if she really wanted out she could still leave. I think she understands the stakes and the sacrifice she is making for the greater good despite how much she hates it. I also think it does carry a lot of weight and I do think the writers show that and keep it in mind throughout the season. I think both Hughie and Annie’s characters are very well written this season with their motivations and actions making total sense for what their characters have gone through and where they are at in the story

well honestly i dont think Starlight has a choice. Homelander now knows the polls and numbers are super high with him and Starlight being a pair so he will definitely not let her out of his sight. Also, she was plotting against him too so hes gonna go for the "keep your enemies close" kind of approach too
