i have to admit that i considered for a minute if i should watch this even though i'm already in bed and ready to sleep, then i remembered the episode was more than an hour long. if this was fmab or mob where it's only 20 minutes i'd definitely watch it now. guess i'll watch it tomorrow after i watch the hotd episode. good night ☺️

I’m getting more and more convinced that Halbrand is one of the nine . I mean they were all kings of man and since he is with Galadriel and she got one of the 3 rings for the elves would make sense . As for stranger would make sense he is one of the wizards , but timeline would be wrong . But then it was said that maybe they visited before if I remember correctly so still possible I guess . So it’s either one of the 3 whose names we know or one of the two blue wizards . Gandalf would be most obvious since he always loved hobbits .

"Well, well, well. If it ain't Mr. Red Herring hisself!"

I don't think I've seen Lola smile more than when watching Lord of the Rings. She's just beaming at every scene and every little thing. It's very cute.

“Just give up” 😆

TinCan Cosmanaut

my main complaint is this series is kinda boring

Devon O'Chinnigan

Did we ever get their youtube version of this with their pre and post commentary?

Sone

Yup that's another possibility . I would actually like that the most .

It's a slow burn, but the scenery is beautiful. In that sense, it perfectly encapsulates what it feels like to read Tolkien.

No it doesn't, Tolkien's writing is beautiful and this is just total nonsense like and seems to go nowhere. The start of Lord of the Rings is extremely suspenseful with the wring-wraiths chasing Frodo, etc. In this show the first season is half over and pretty much nothing has happened other then with that elf and human woman in the southlands

Are you talking about the movies, or the books? Because in the books, it takes a good while to even get to the Ringwraiths. You have to go through all of Bilbo's party and Gandalf leaving to meet with Saruman. The Peter Jackson movies, though long, are only 3 movies. This is supposed to stretch over 5 seasons. Yeah, there are some choices they have done that I'm scratching my head over, but overall I've enjoyed this return visit to Middle-Earth. I'm sorry you slept through Numenor taking arms and Sauron taking over the Southlands.
