I commented about this I think after season 3 or 4 when people were talking about which season was their favorite and people's opinions on season 5 were pretty split. Season 5 is hard to watch because of how painful it is. I absolutely love season 3 with all my heart because it was so epic and you never got a second to catch your breath because of how fast paced it was. But the interpersonal drama, the realistic consequences, and oh my god the acting performances of season 5 are just insane. Its not fun like season 3 was, it's amazing and rewarding in entirely different ways.

Yes, the scenes with Naomi can be painful to watch (they were/are for me), but show the brilliance of the character as well as how great an actor Dominic Tipper is. The Expanse was her first "real" acting role, and she feels she has grown over the seasons. I agree. The fact that she didn't get any awards for her performance just shows how messed up the various awards processes are.
