I will forever recommend She-Ra. I think it checks all the boxes: wholesome but sometimes hurts, found families, lost parents, engaging storylines and plot. I hope you consider it!

I recommend watching Fruits Basket. Wholesomeness, check. Found family, check. Parent issues, check. I can’t say it’s as good as FMAB, but it did make me cry and it also made me feel so happy. AND it’s only 63 episodes.
