I find it interesting that they're talking about Kim leaving Jimmy for what Jimmy did, which I think is a misdirection from the show, highlighting Jimmy in a negative light whilst holding Kim in the positive light. This was Kim's plan from the beginning, whenever she gets too far or too close to the underworld she yanks herself back out of it - whereas Jimmy is more consistent with what he wants. Kim doesn't want to be like her mother, so she's having internal conflicts of being whom she wants to be verses whom is best for her, and this is negatively impacting Jimmy as Jimmy just wants to be with Kim. In my opinion, Jimmy's reasoning for the "backstab" is perfectly valid, he warned Kim that this will get dangerous and personal, and she accepted it at that point - Jimmy found a way to deliver and keep Kim in an innocent light, as Jimmy wants to keep that "Halo" aura over Kim being the good person in their life, so he made the choice to be the "bad guy" in order to achieve Kim's goals - which Kim took as a backstab (and understandably) - but I think that's the misdirection of Jimmy's character. Chuck explained it best early in the show "I don't doubt your emotions or your intentions are good / real" when Chuck was talking about Jimmy hurting everyone around him when he's trying to get what he wants

Yeah, I don’t see their relationship lasting that long lol as we know from Breaking Bad, Jimmy doesn’t have a GF so.. I wonder would be the last straw for them to call em quits.

Little Kim actress gets the mannerisms down so well! I also get the sense that she has regrets about having a her dysfunctional relationship with her mother and it makes her cling to harder to the important relationships in her life (Jimmy) even if she knows it's a bad idea

It's possible Kim and Saul are a couple during BB, and that we just never saw her because we never see anything of Saul's personal life.

God I love this episode. Even though BCS is one of my all time favourite shows, the first 5 episodes of season 5 are actually my least favourite of the series. The last 5, however, are my favourite episodes of the enitre series so far. I'm so looking forward to the girls seeing what's in store!

To me this is the episode where Kim finally makes her choice. Since the beginning her character has been suffering deep inner conflict, torn between Jimmy &amp; the lifestyle he represents vs. the normal, 'proper', straight and narrow path. She's done a lot of flip-flopping back and forth, always indecisive and even though she loves Jimmy, it seems like she's never been 100% certain about him, there's always been that little bit of doubt and hesitation. And that was all magnified with the introduction of Saul Goodman. She loves Jimmy, but can she accept Saul? In the first few episodes of the season, she seemed more conflicted about their relationship than ever. But now she's decided to pick a side. Going back to the beer on the balcony scenes. She was annoyed with Jimmy playing with the bottle, pretending to drop it, and putting it on the railing where it could easily fall. Later she just starts tossing them off the balcony. IMO this means she's no longer content with living this in-between life, always torn and conflicted, toying with the 'dark side' occasionally, dipping her toes in the water but never fully diving in. She she knows it's time to either go all in, or retreat. Now this episode was the lowest point of their relationship, it was a deep betrayal, and I think it occurred to her that despite all of it... she still wants to be with him. So if that's the case, it's time to truly pick a side and double down. So she picks him. And ensures that such a betrayal never has to happen again, by getting married and being granted spousal immunity. And I think her loving Jimmy is only part of the reason. She's also in love with the con, addicted to the adrenaline rush. She doesn't want to stop. She wants more. I actually think it's not Jimmy who's the addict... he does these scams/cons because for him it's a way of life. It's a fundamental part of who he is. It's just his personality, he can't help it. He enjoys it, but he doesn't seem to get a crazy adrenaline rush or sexual high from it. Kim does.

FYI the cop that Mike sends the Lalo evidence to is from Breaking Bad, he was Hank's friend that helped him when Marie got arrested and who asked for his help with the Gale investigation. Also, I'm pretty sure he was talking to Jesse on the phone in that scene, if you remember back in the "Fly" episode of BB Jesse told Walt that his aunt thought there was a dead body under her porch which ended up being just a dead possum or something like that.

It's hard for me to understand where so much love comes for Nacho and Jesse for that matter in BB...to me they both have no honor in either side of civilian life or street life. Theyve killed ppl and made their living in the street game, but then also cry and want to leave it, and take measures to do that and also lie/snitch/make emotional decisions that screw over the business/street life. They are indecisive and emotional and that leads to issues that affect their family and ones they care about AND their business partners. They have no honor in either side....Gus knows who he is and sticks to a code, that is far more respectable to me than being a pretender and ruining both sides of morality. But Jesse and Nacho are beloved characters bc theyre percieved as somewhat innocent vulnerable guys, when they are not at all and actually are worse imo bc they have no code or honor besides for their own emotions/cares.

In a way I agree with you, but I would say that that's basically the point. They're not cut out for this world, and as such they'll always be trampled under foot because of it.

I never noticed how closely the scene with Jimmy and Kim after the commercial is filmed mirrors the scene with Kim and her mom. Jimmy even says, "If you wanna walk, we'll walk."

When she said 'you made me the sucker, again' it got me thinking about what the first one was. Call me out if I'm wrong but I think the first time was last season finale when she was strung along like all the judges were by jimmy to get his license back, which is why he was confused when she said again. He didn't realize she fell for it the way they did.

There is actually a deleted scene right after the meeting where you can see that it was not easy for Jimmy to pull this off and he felt sorry about betraying her like that. In my opinion he did do it for Kim, thinking once she calms down she will be thankful that they achieved what she originally wanted. Like Chuck said, he is just no able to understand that the ends don't always justify the means.
