Misa really fucked up by leaving evidence of her hair for L to find that was such an amateur move she should have been wearing things to protect from hair coming off taken precautions. I know many might actually make this mistake but nonetheless it was a very silly mistake it doesn’t take a genius to make sure to consider wearing protective things for you to not give away any evidence of who you are.

I just started this show about a former police officer who stumbles across a series of murders that have been disguised as accidents. It was reminding me of Death Note, because at one point the killer is advised to just assassinate the investigator before she becomes a serious threat, and basically says "I can't, she hasn't done anything evil."

Death Note is so popular and so ubiquitous in anime fandom that I had really forgotten how good it really is. I mean, I always knew it was excellent, but watching these reactions takes me back to the first time, to that feeling of absolute awe at what happens every episode.

I see Lolas comparison to crime and punishment. Especially with the battle of wits between L and Light/Porfirij and Raskolnikow. The difference is that Raskolnikow was consumed by his guilt, while I doubt that Light loses any sleep over his murders.
