Tbh fans are really one both sides in terms of the comics. Most Azula fans including myself didn't enjoy the atla comics. I do love tlok comics though. And I'm the person who said Kyoshi is a baby and I stand my ground. If you ever read the books I'm sure you'll agree with me. Kyoshi is a giant baby who deserves the world.

the difference between and reason why fire nation wont attack kuvira is that Kuvira declared that former EARTH kingdom territory will be united under her rule. Unlike Ozai, she never declared war on the whole world or intend to conquer it. Of course, we don't know if that's true or if she's simply waiting to expand her territory. But at the moment, the Fire Nation feels that they've been fighting and initializing wars for the last 100+ years that they cannot be the aggressors this time. While its debatable if thats the smart choice, it is understandable why they are trying to stay out of this conflict

The position of Fire Lord Izumi actually make sense. Well technically she just inspired by Zuko harmony movement and his position of his "era of Love and Peace" Fire Nation is peaceful Empire that didn't attack first anymore(unless if they will be attacked by Kuvira). And it's not Fire Nation problem. They will be defend themselves if they will be attacked by Kuvira but until that Izumi position actually make sense. Kuvira also didn't declare war on the Fire Nation so i don't see reason why Fire Nation should attack Kuvira first. Just imagine reaction of people in Fire Nation: We are going to die for one little city that even doesn't belong to us? Sorry we don't want to die for that...

oh no, iroh is number 2 but when we start placing characters we're usually just thinking about the avatar gang so irohs not on the list but he's right behind zuko for me

I just love how supportive and caring Mako is. Him being so forgiving to Bolin and being there for Korra when she relapsed on PTSD is just everything, he's really up there for one of my favorite characters!

Well Mako not only brother to Bolin, i think in some way he replaced father to Bolin. I think the most important person for Mako is Bolin. Just like Zuko for uncle Iroh. So it make sense to Mako being so understanding towards Bolin position. One of my favourite siblings in that show

Comics also have that strange idea that she wants to help Zuko in her own way but she refused to get redemption so...I think we should just wait until completely full Azula redemption arc and Zuko being Iroh 2.0 for her. At least when they grow up a bit

I think you both would really enjoy The Search comic, it's a story you'll definitely want to read and has some great Azula moments both heartbreaking AND heartwarming. Besides it answers one of the biggest questions of the ATLA show and I think the events that occur are really pivotal for Azula's character

The situation is much more nuanced than your explanation. You forget that this problem only exists because of the fire nation conquering earth kingdom territory. The correct thing to do would be for the fire nation to act as a protectorate of the United republic of nations so that no foreign power could interfere with its self determination.
