So excited for this episode!!

While Kuvira’s imperialistic actions are obviously bad, it does suck that Zaofu does horde all the riches/resources and doesn’t share their technology with the oppressed class of the Earth Kingdom. It’s like Wakanda (Marvel) being the most advanced country in the world but not helping to make sure that fellow neighbouring African countries prosper/don’t get plundered by imperialist nations.

Well I would say they are invested in the story lol. For a Y7 rated show this is a really good portrayal of PTSD, What Korra goes through while it is tough to watch is why I love this show and connect with it more than ATLA. But in both shows Mike and Bryan dealt with such amazing and mature content for a "kids show". what makes this universe so amazing

Good points overall, but I'd go deeper in comparing parallels to Kuvira's character with Eric Killmonger. Both came (or have ancestry) from advanced yet non-interventionist home states. Both might (and only might in my opinion), have started with good intentions (ie. protecting rights of an oppressed race, or providing peace & prosperity to one's countrymen). However, both follow a similar path towards dictatorship & imperialism. Killmonger basically wanted to turn Wakanda into a global empire run by an African nationalist monarchy, doing to the oppressors what had been done to his people (he literally parroted British imperialism on how the "sun will never set" on a Wakandan empire). Kuvira likewise is recreating similar conditions to the old Earth Kingdom monarchy, but presenting herself as a more "efficient" military dictator. Similar & worse methods of obtaining power, whether (as the show has discussed up to this episode), blackmail, intimidation, compelling new "subjects" into her army, and using "reeducation camps" for political dissenters, or even for folks who just don't fit her clearly nationalistic image of an "Earth Empire." Wound surprise me if she recreated a new Dai Li to spy on the whole Empire & not just poor Ba Sing Se. She's even parroted imperialistic rhetoric formerly used by the Fire Nation (ie. "we're the best civilization, & we're sharing that greatness with the world via military conquest & colonial expansion). In short, I'd see both characters as becoming the very thing they claimed to oppose.

Honestly think Korra should have mentioned what happened to Chin the Conquerer when he messed with the wrong Avatar Kyoshi.

Let me tell you the 9€ per month are worth it just by seeing Milena defend Korra like it's her job. You know that meme on twitter or a massive text in a phone and th3 tweet says "what character are you defending like this?" well, that's me with Korra. I'm no kidding when I say that she's probably the character I'm most protective of not only of the avatarverse but of all shows/movies I've watched. I just think she gets too much hate and she's so freaking amazing. Anyway, I had a great time watching this reaction even though you were suffering a lot 😅

Be patient ladies, Korra is still going through PTSD. The rest of the season is going to be fantastic. Remember it's been a few years for Korra to be in a battle. She is rusty at her skills. Remember she was physically disabled for a year. Also Kuvira is very very good at metal bending and her skills as an Earth/Metal bender is very high.

Just could watch it now, but I freaking love how much Milena loves Korra and is protective over her. She literaly represents everyone that apreciates Korra journey. Lola trying to balance things thinking rationally is also so funny xD Love this review
