There were 145 kings since Ymir died. Each king ruled for 13 years. 145 x 13= 1885. 1885+ 107 (Number of years since the 145th King built the walls)= 1992 Eren has 8 years left 1992 + 8= 2000 which means, since the time Ymir first awaken the Titan's power, to when Eren got his titan power = when Ymir die, to the perish of Eren's lifespam = 2000 years Title of first episode "To you in 2000 years". I can say without hesitation with this episode , Snk is the best Japanese animation series of all time and I will even say one of the best story that has ever been created until today in fiction. No anime in history had been so complete, constant and of such quality in these fields: History, Animation, Maturity, Narration, Action, Emotion, Suspense, Mystery, Background of the story, Opening, Ending, Ost, Realistic while being fantastic, Epic moments, Imprevisibility, Combat, Immersion, Graphic design, Originality of the work, Rebound, Foreshadowing, Cliffhangers, Pace, Charism and evolution of the characters... Not once has there been unnecessary, boring or off-series moments. Each episode counts, it always contains details and information. Aot is Historic.

also u mentioned a great point!! I think the show has a bug! u said u didn’t understand why ymir turnt to a titan and run away from the wall, but not at the marleyan injection officers because titans are attracted to large population. I think this is a bug!! technically they should be drawn to all the marleyan officers standing on the wall!! but instead they all ran away chasing grice….

In my humble opinion, the major conflict here is not about the smart titans, but more to the dumb titans, which implies for all Eldians except for the Nine Titans. The Nine Titans can at least control their power and is capable of negotiating to form some type of agreement of peace. Whereas, the dumb titans cannot. Imagining this, if you are a normal citizen, would you want someone, who is capable to turn into a dumb titan and eat your entire family, to be your neighbor?

when you were counting the 9 (8) smart titans, you forgot Annie / the female titan. so just to summerize, the smart titans are: 1 founding titan 2 attack titan 3 armor titan 4 colossal titan 5 female titan 6 beast titan 7 Ymirs titan (name not yet revealed) 8. the strange 4 legged titan (name not yet revealed) 9 titan not yet revealed

And there you have it. One "spoiler" was in the title all along but the English translators for the title hid it by calling it "Attack on Titan" (or maybe it was coincidence or subpar translating). It should actually be read as "'Attack On' Titan", as in a titan that continues to attack on despite obstacles. But it's a good way to translate the title in a kind of faithful way while also hiding how that was the name of Eren's titan.

but as far as we know, the way the eldians turn into dumb titans is with bone marrow of smart titans, so if we take them out there is no way for anyone to turn into a titan, unless there is some other way that is yet to be revealed

actually this is no mistake; the title could be read as the 2 ways in Japanese, but the obvious one was attack on titan, which was logical with the manga, but the Mangaka being a god, he planed all along to play with this title.

Actually he also get involved with the anime, he even was behind diffèrent Opening & ending, hiding things event the manga reader couldn't understand yet. He also changed a few things in some episodes that he didn't liked in the manga

If you remember, Grisha stole the founding titan on the night of the fall of wall Maria. Grisha left Eren and his mother on the day the wall fell, remember when Eren asked his dad what he was doing and Grisha told him that he was heading for the interior to see some patients? and then said he'd show him the basement when he got back? he had finally tracked down the real Royal family and was leaving to steal the Founding Titan. It was just his misfortune that Reiner, Annie, and Bertholt chose that day to kick the wall down.

This is my biggest question so far about this anime. What is it about the memories of past inheritors? And how this "path" works? Since Eren has the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan, why he can see his father's memories but not Freida's memories? Is it because of the "vow" and the fact he is not from royal bloodline? And why he saw the memories after 5 years of inheriting the Attack Titan and not right away? One last thing. Why Historia was able to see Ymir's memories through Ymir's letter? Does Ymir's Titan has the power to pass memories through objects? Every time we think we are getting to the answers, we end up with more questions.

I guess it okay to point out now but if you go back through the series and you know anything about BIRDS, you will notice there are a lot of coastal birds which shows that their region is coastal the whole time.

also Attack Titan directly translates in japanese to Shingeki no Kyojin. if you translate it back to english, it directly translates to Attack On Titan, hence why the show is called this (when at face value it doesn't make sense vernacular)

Every titans memory is passed on to some extent, so each inheritor can see past inheritors memory. Eren did see Freida in his memory when she was combing her hair in front of mirror. Attack titan has memory connected both ways. Maybe Ymir wrote her letter with ink mixed with her blood. I don't know.

The previous Attack Titan before Owl became the Attack Titan had the memories of Armin and Mikasa who went to the island and the Owl had those memories too. I think by love someone and make a family meant to be a better person and stop the mistakes in the past of spreading hatred.

Because Google translates it as a name of the anime using its algorithm. It's not translating it as a normal Japanese sentence. Shingeki no Kyojin does NOT translate as Attack ON Titan. This comment section is not a fun place to be at the moment. And I think we can all change it for the better. It's mostly people saying 'everybody is spoiling - abort!' or people hinting at or explaining details that don't need to. Can there be a nice middle ground? Where we talk about the funny things LM say in this reaction. Or subjective opinions on the characters. I'll start. I found it funny how L+M reacted at the end of this episode. The dumb, confused looks. I can so relate. Also, Historia is one of the best characters and didn't get enough screen time in the first 3 seasons. I wish her relationship with Ymir and why they got so close was shown more rather than just told.

This whole time we've been a few steps ahead of yous but now we get to experience the final half of the journey together. I’m not sure why people are saying this is a spoiler it’s obvious when a Titan eats another human who was a Titan and then becomes a Titan themselves they keep some of those memories. The girls bless their hearts were just not understanding so I was just helping them understand what has already happened. If the Attack Titan (Owl) didn’t know who Armin and Mikasa were then it had to be memories of the previous Titan there is no other explanation. I was trying to help them understand since they were frustrated not spoil anything. I would never want to spoil anything for these wonderful girls.

Because these people and others don’t understand what a spoiler is they attack me. I despise spoilers since they ruin it for everyone but I have a right to comment on something that happened in the show not giving anything away.
