Just so you know, the showrunners did have deal with some executive meddling from Nickelodeon for Book 4 that included budget cuts late into production and without spoiling anything, you can tell in episode 8. This led to the showrunners having to save money by choosing to either a) doing what they ended up doing in that episode or b) firing a bunch of their crewmembers. So if you're unsatified with that episode, blame Nickelodeon not the showrunners

Jinora knew the poison was metallic because she saw one of the red lotus members metalbending it into Korra earlier in the episode (while was astral projecting trying to find Korra) :)

^^ To add on to what @DKLounge said, I just want to point out how amazing this season was from an animation and storytelling standpoint. I'm watching this for the first time since 2014 and I was in awe that this was a tv show. Really great job to Brike (Mike Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko).

Jyn Jilly

They did all this under production problems, huge amounts of pressure and being overworked. In Brike We Trust

I haven't watched it yet but I sure hope that you gals notice how broken Korra is, not just Jinoras moment. I feel like sometimes it gets glossed over. But damn my girl has been through it. Edit: thank God you noticed haha 😄 Zaheer got hits here and there but she did have him on the ropes. Before the poison became too much, she froze his foot, and I'm sure she would've fucked that bitch up if she wasn't poisoned

I wonder whether the Red Lotus's plan hinged on P'li still being alive to be able to guarantee an instant kill, or whether they just became the latest people to badly underestimate the avatar state, and their plan was always a gamble.

Great reaction, I watched this at work when it first came out and I was crying at my desk at the end! LMAO P.S. - please turn off the subtitles for Book 4 episode 2, it's important you do it, you'll understand why when you watch it. Everyone else back me up!

Strongly agree that you should turn off the subtitles for 4x02

Amazing reaction as always, just binged 5 episodes. I was able to scrap up some money and I could spare the 9€ thankfully. I love how you immediately started being protective over Korra, you’d be surprised by the amount of people that actually blame her and think she’s weak for not being able to fight ‘till the end even though she had poison in her body literally impeding her to do it. Anyway, Lola, based on what you’ve said you want from avatar studios (that’s the name of what bryke are working on) I think you would actually love the Kyoshi duology and it’s also a quick read tbh, so if any of you end up reading the books I would love to hear your opinion on them.

ODIS

The comments of "no subs for episode X" are basically spoilers in themselves loll.

SupremeCai

ODIS should be banned god dayum this spoiler fiend lmaoo doin the rounds like its his job. Get a life bud

ODIS

I guarantee you they'll know because of these "subs" related comments.. When the episode starts, I guarantee you they'll know exactly what to expect.

ODIS

As someone else commented, telling them that would only heighten their expectations for that episode and create less genuine reactions.

ODIS

Yeah, truly impressive what they were able to create. I wonder how good it could have been if Nickelodeon didn't keep screwing with them throughout the whole production...

What makes me so sad about the ending is that Korra just went through this traumatic experience and in her hallucination Unalaq says ''The world doesn't need you anymore''. Now she is at Jinoras anointment and Tenzin is giving this speech about how the Airbenders will follow in her path trying to restore balance, doing her job for her as if the world really doesn't need her anymore.

Camelot B

Bro, you made me even sadder now... Korra crying always gets me, I relate to her so much
