yes that was Krazy-8, the guy Walt killed in Jesse's basement . Also if you notice he's wearing a shirt that says Tampico, that's the furniture company his dad owned that he and Walt talked about. I love how the show adds these little details

To be fair, Chuck does believe in second chances to an extent. Jimmy is able to have the life he has because Chuck got him out of jail. Chuck said, "If I do this, don't make a fool out of me," or something along those lines, and Jimmy promised he would stop his slipping ways. It was a promise he couldn’t keep, because it’s part of who he is. What has changed is the severity of what he's doing. To me, this goes back to Mike’s speech about good criminals and bad cops. Jimmy being a good guy in many ways doesn’t have to mean he isn’t a criminal, the same way that Chuck not being a criminal doesn’t have to mean he’s a great person. What’s great about this show is so many people will have different opinions on the Jimmy - Chuck debate, but I personally think Chuck is right in many ways, but because we do not like the messenger, we often write off the message. Regardless of how you feel about the characters, I love the way you discuss everything, and there’s so much more great storytelling to come. Just like Breaking Bad, it will surprise you in so many ways.

I think the conversation between Mike and the gun dealer is meant to imply that he was a sniper in Vietnam.

Love that you guys picked up on how much Chuck's symptoms correlate with Jimmy doing Slippin' Jimmy things. Chuck's mental illness is one of the most complex story devices I've seen. Excited for more!

I also like the way that conversation was scripted. Mike looked for every possible reason to refuse the guns available, was finally offered a gun that fulfilled every stated need and he was even personally familiar with using in Vietnam (thus reducing every risk to basically zero), and he still ended up refusing, so he could pursue a half-measure for less money, more hassle, and physical injury. Tuco is out of jail a year before Breaking Bad starts in 2008, and Mike said it would be a 5-10 year sentence, so overall, he really did pick the absolute minimum benefit in order to avoid killing anyone.

As for Davies and Maine. They want to cater to Fortune 500 companies and high profile clients. Having an infomercial on tv is considered low class to those type of clients. You saw the types of clientele Saul was getting in BB with his commercials.
