Asami, just why? I do pity her character because the writers don’t know what to do with her since they changed their minds about her not being a spy for the Equalists.

You two last episode: I’m glad the love triangle is gone! Asami: hold my beer while i nonconsenually kiss him after just learning he broke up with Korra. oof, you’ll see why it was unnecessary to bring it back 😂 but trust after this season its gone for real. Also, not Bolin’s best moment. Even more uncomfortable given that shes also tied down. Lowkey felt bad for Ginger and Mako this episode. Kudos to Mako for figuring out its Varrick being responsible for all this sabotage though.

I forgot Varrick was using a newly developed technology that only his company had access to for the explosives. His plan wasn't as clever as I remember it being.

Yeah, a couple of my main criticisms of this season are what you mentioned, Bolin being extremely immature, and the love triangle. Even the relationships between Aang's kids seem pretty immature at times. But between all that there's a lot of really great content, and I'm so glad you guys focus on the positives and always seem to enjoy each episode no matter what. You mentioned you thought it might go downhill from here this season, but the best is definitely yet to come!

I love how Mako tried to preach to Korra about his duties as a police officer and to the president but 1 episode later works with the triad, like dude that was your girlfriend that you ratted out!!! but you can work with criminals OKAY.

The Chief is all about rigid order and procedure, and every time Mako has had something he's just barged in and trampled over that procedure, ESPECIALLY when he barged into a meeting with the president, which by itself probably should've gotten him fired (Lynn didn't know he was tricked into doing that). I imagine that over the years the younger rookie cops often come in undisciplined and with everything to prove, and Lynn has zero chill for it. ALSO, Mako is from the streets and technically a former criminal, so Lynn likely has some bias attached to her perceptions of him. I don't think its totally unreasonable that her character would react that way, even if her reaction was blinding her to some things in this case.

Im hella late but I every week I say imma comment and never do. Been a patreon since u started avatar. Love how u guys are seeing the positives in the beginning of season 2... U guys love the this part of the season for several of the reasons I did. The tension is with the water tribes and aangs kids...I think few see the depth in that like u two did, I think maybe because those moments can be frustrating. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
