Don't forget that Season 1 was only 7 episodes, and Season 5 is 16, so you're only on #34 of 62. Still almost half the show left to watch -- and what a half it is.

Giancarlo should’ve won an Emmy without even saying a word.

Season 5 is fantastic, but 4 is still my favorite. Of course, with Breaking Bad it's a whole new level of excellence. By the end, you'll see why many people consider the best series of all time!

I don't think Walt is super cocky by the end of this episode - his first thought in the diner was about how to stay alive. Jesse had to point out that Gus already had a chance to kill them ("Gollllden I would say!" - such a great line!). When Walt said "Right as rain", he was just being sardonic. It was all too absurd for even him to process, so he didn't even try. You know that meme where the cartoon dog is sitting in a burning house, and he says, "Things are fine" with a smile on his face? That's Jesse right now. Walt is basically doing the same thing, just more deadpan while understanding the irony of the situation.

Pretty much everyone agrees that seasons 4 and 5 are head and shoulders above the previous 3 seasons, but there's disagreement about which season is better (because they're both incredible). Season 5 is a little longer and was split up into 2 halves that aired almost a year apart, so I almost think of them as two different seasons. Seasons 4 and 5a are masterpieces, but I personally think 5b is the greatest television ever created. But no matter which season you prefer it's all fantastic, and I'm so excited y'all get to see it for the first time!

I haven’t seen anything else anywhere that has reached the level of Season 5b of Breaking Bad. I never thought I would see anything better than season 4 of the Wire, but the close out to Breaking Bad is just so perfect. Season 4 and 5a are really close, and 5a is written in such a perfect way to set up 5b.

If Better Call Saul's final season is as good as seasons 3-5 then it will be another 6 season show that goes out on top.
