It’s okay to be confused, I don’t want to say anything because I’m worried I may accidentally spoil something or say something that you’ll cleverly infer in a later plot point. I love this show, but the execution wasn’t perfect. Some stuff wasn’t explained, which is why there’s that 10-episode OVA season that came out a couple months ago to fill in some story gaps.

Kingbo is the son of the Mad King who met Boji in the forest. And the kingdom they both led was called the Bo Kingdom. And the Underworld is another Kingdom, with people living overground and underground. But there is a prison too for criminals known as the criminals from the underworld.
