Mid-Month Check-in (Patreon)

On the 15th we had a little discussion about some topics in regards to my status and we will continue to have updates on the matters. Since this is the first one, the info will be a little heavy so here's a summary of what's going on and what's to come.

Let's start with this month:

I've logged 46.5 hours in SAI this month according to my ManicTime app. I've been using this app to keep track of how much active time I have in each software on my PC and it's been helping with efficiency a lot.

I've completed work such as

• Storyboard for Ladon's Comic
• 5/7 Patron Streams
• All of the Patron icons
• Chuki design work
• Rule 34 image for this month

I still have to complete work such as

• 2 more Patron Streams
• A commission for Yurel
• A personal art piece
• Sketching for Ladon's comic

Alright so it's been a decent month so far. Now lets get into some news~

Posting will become more consistent.

- Some of you have mentioned to me that I've been having issues in regards to remembering to post everywhere and keeping everyone up to date with things happening outside of the Discord server. As a result of this I openly asked for assistance in remembering to post on these places and what came out of it was an offer from Ladon to work on building me an app to post to all of these places at once without having to remember to do it each time. This will streamline my posting in the future and make things much easier and consistent.

I'll be adding a new commission slot into the cycle.

- Currently I've been doing rotations with where I take commissions and between FurAffinity, Twitter, and Discord. I'll be adding a Patreon one into this cycle so that I can offer Patrons a bit of a better chance at getting these slots.

We're up to 54 members in the Discord server.

- For those of who haven't been paying close attention to some of that stuff, it isn't a big deal for you, but we've begun building a small friendly community on Discord and it's been growing steadily and continues to stay active every day. I'm really proud to have so many people interested in what I do and then continue to stay for the friendly company of others. New $750 milestone has been reached, or has it?

- The reason why I'm having milestones take effect the month following its obtainment is due to the fact that payments get declined, etc. so the final value at the end of the month may not be what it says it is. We'll be working out that when the time comes. When I do end up starting the daily doodles though, there could be benefits in that for Patrons/Discord members so stay tuned for that.

I'll be sharing my money goals with you.

- I've decided to stay on top of keeping everyone here updated with my financial situation and general goals for purchases, etc. on equipment and software so there can be a visible impact you guys are having on me. One of the ways I'm doing this is I'm going to share my credit card balance (a ballpark figure) regularly so you guys can see the changes.

Why I'm in debt.

- Long story short, I've got 2 major debts: my student loans and my credit card. Pretty normal stuff. I ended up getting screwed over by a job I had immediately after Christmas of 2014 and since then I've not been able to keep up with my credit card payments due to other expenses that came up. It snowballed after a bunch of big purchases I had to make in order to be set up in my new home after moving last year and the balance settled earlier this year and has been slowly going down thanks to the support I've been getting on here. So without further ado, I'll be stating my current credit card balance.

My credit card balance is at $3900 out of a limit of $7000.

- Not bad, but not good either. Earlier this year it used to float around $4500 and that amount has been going down since then. I've got plans for big purchases and stuff in the future so I'd like to get this balance down as much as I can before doing that.

General expenses work out to be about $2000 a month.

- My rent is about $1500, and on top of that about $150 for phone and internet, some amount for food, $300 for student loans, and a couple of various other small bills such as subscriptions for software I need, etc.

I've been building a new PC. Total cost: $500+

- We had a bunch of parts from a previous PC we attempted to build about a year and a half ago and we reused a lot of those components, bought a new case, some fans, a new motherboard (because the other one died), and a new cpu cooling unit, plus some odds and ends like paint, cables, etc. to make it themed. I'll be posting pics of it when it's up and running and fully completed. All in all not much spent on it which is pretty good.

Next purchase goal is a new guitar amplifier at ~$700.

- "But Roy, how is a guitar amp supposed to get me more porn???" Well it's a little known fact that my real passion is in music and I ultimately need to get more equipment to work towards that. I have more recording and music work I want to do so this is a step in that direction. Getting this amp is a short term goal in a long term dream. I'll be sharing these purchase goals with you guys as well.
