Y'all mentioned Inception and Tenet and I REALLY hope you two watch those because I think you'd appreciate them now that you're really into Nolan and his style. He does such a great job of making you think, but not too hard, and instead enriches the experience. Thank you for such a wonderful reaction!

Nolan did the work researching quantum theory, physics, astronomy, and interstellar travel. He had physicists consulted to ensure accuracy based on fact or theory. He did all that in order to tell a simple story about a fathers love for his daughter.

I'm super late but I think you'd like the movie Arrival. Its my favorite standalone Sci-Fi movie. Its pretty unique.
