Naomi and Drummer were dealing with taking out the nuke countermeasures so they could have full control of them. The other thing she did was simulate firing the protomolecule into the sun. Holden didn't realize he was watching a sim screen and not a real launch

Yes. What Naomi showed Holden was some sort of simulation of the torpedo being launched into the sun. In fact, she did not send it.

Blunderbutts

The Belters do have to look out for each other, that much I agree with. Keeping the nukes, that makes some sort of horrible sense to me. I mean, nukes are a tech we've got now and MAD has so far made sure that we don't blow each other up, so it's a logical extension of that to make sure the belt has nukes too. Earth and Mars wouldn't dare pull something like Anderson Station again if the Belt had nukes. The Protomolecule though? That's too far, I feel, just because we don't know what it is. You keep a bunch of nukes in a big space net, they're still nukes a week later. You keep a bunch of protomolecule somewhere and it might go ahead and pull another Eros, or do some other freaky nonsense. I don't agree with Holden's "no teams" thing, that's way too idealistic, but I do agree that every bit of protomolecule they see should be immediately fired into the sun. P.S. Miller's old partner with all the chemistry was called Octavia, and she was great.

Avasarala's "Hellfire" speech is one of my favorite scenes. Octavia (Tavi) won't show up again. She was never a love interest in the book, but then the show isn't the books. Make sure u have tissues on hand for the rest of the season, and hoping you'll post more often.
