The start of the romance that would spawn an entire satirical spinoff! This was when Harley Quinn really started to become super popular, especially during a time where female villains were rare enough that they felt the need to point it out, 'hitting the nail on the head' as you say. But even back in the 90s, Batman says 'the hammer of justice is unisex!'. Harley gets several more episodes devoted to her after this, and they are all pretty good with Mad Love being my favorite. Too bad it's Season 3 so you won't get to see it for a while.

I love that Ivy did what she thought was right in trying to talk Harley out of being with the joker but Harley just misses him regardless of how she's treated, and seeing that Joker couldn't keep things organized without her around was also interesting they may be toxic together but some qualities they do appreciate in each other.
