I was waiting for this one, it's a standout of S1. The Baldur comparison is very apt. Something you'll see a lot in this show is a human villain who sacrificed something precious in order to gain power rivaling Superman's. Nice continuity bringing Corben back from the pilot episodes to become a major villain. And yes, Luthor is probably the biggest master manipulator in the DCAU.
