Good morning/happy timezones!

I watched this last night and... OH. MY. GOD! Y'all were not lying about how good it was!

Definitely one of my favorite DCAU movies. UGH SO GOOD.

Not quite on the level of Mask of the Phantasm but a fine outing designed to give Mr. Freeze a climactic send off... until they decided to make more episodes with him later. Oh well. I like the emphasis on Robin here, giving him a parallel with Freeze until they're both fighting tooth and nail for a person they love, pushing Dick to the limits of the Bat code. No idea how Freeze got the Polar bears' allegiance. They probably don't identify him as a human due to a lack of scent and flesh, and if he fed them they'd imprint him as a friend.

Speaking of nostalgia.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMuiQd__uUg Toonami was honestly the best channel ever growing up! We had it here in the UK too. I can remember watching this and Mask of the Phantasm for the first time there. As well as Justice League, Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, and the original Clone Wars just to name a few. SubZero was originally produced as a marketing tie-in with Batman & Robin, the direct-to-video movie turned out be of far better quality than the one produced by Hollywood, a rare thing.
