The thing about Rookie of the year is that now Ippo is ranked 10th in Japan in featherweight. So he kinda already is building his reputation.

What I like about the finish of Sendo vs Ippo is that even though they acknowledge who won and who lost. There is still that feeling that Sendo was the biggest threat to Ippo, and that he was going to be the victor had the fight continued. The presence he has imo is greater than anything Ippo has come across even Miyata. Ippo knowing he is not there, but the image of an unconscious man that is still wanting to fight. The same man who came all the way to you because he wanted to have this fight more than anything any other thing. Is a big thing, and even at times in the fight it looked like Ippo was scared.

Something I don't think u realized in the first ep this week is you thought Date was the reporter. Date if u pay attention tion was at Ippo last 2 fights. They showed him in East Japan Final and at the all Japan . Becoming All Japan puts u in the 10th ranking for that weightclass.
