Okay , me being caught up with the current season of haikyuu, makes the start of this season even better on the reaction rewatch

We all know that Kagayama is great, but he's not the one spiking the ball. Hinata definitely has areas he needs to improve in, no question, but to attribute all of his success to Kagayama is incorrect and disrespectful.

Also, Hinata is well aware that he's behind his teammates, he said so in these 2 episodes. Hinata has never once had the thought he was on Kagayama's level. He happens to view Kagayama and Tsukishima as rivals, and he doesn't want to get left behind. Anyone watching the show can see that Hinata has no problem admitting that a player is better than him. I get where you're coming from, but a lot of what you're saying doesn't fit Hinata's personality. He doesn't have an ego about his volleyball game. He just wants to improve and keep playing.

I definitely agree with you. But it’s also a point of fact that these other characters haven’t seen Hinata train like we have. And remember it wasn’t until recently that he started being able to fight in midair on his own. So for the majority of his matches he has relied on Kageyama to get his spikes in. I think this is where other characters really see that he starting to become a good player on his own

Oreo cheesecake milkshake. A little nutty. Also been enjoying the tech content on your other channel. Keep it up. Hate the cringe dislikes

I would say you were 98% on point with this, except one point. I don't think Hinata thinks he is on the same level as Kagayama, or even Tsukki at the things that they do. But since they are his rivals, he compares himself to them more than anything. And seeing them get noticed for their talent and he hasn't been only makes him hungrier in the end to me. He knows that he is the weakest link for everything except quick spikes. Even after months of work, he's still far behind everyone else at this point, so he's desparate to do anything to try to close that gap. So he doesn't do another failure and lose the game for his team like he did against Aoba Josai before. For me it's a simple idea that I try to follow. We might not win, but I'm not going to be the reason we lose either.
