I’m the same way as you when it came to jojo, I ended up watching the whole series to see if my perceptive of it would change too see what everyone else was seeing it didn’t, lol the whole show is the same thing..(my opinion not trying to trigger you jojo fans)

I'm one of the code geass lovers, watching the reactions with you was my first time watching it, i was sad that you stopped and was waiting to you to watching again, after some time i got "tired" of waiting and go for watching the rest of code geass by myself and i finish season 1 and 2 in like 4 days, i'm sure that the turns and the trama of the rest of the anime could catch you again, hope you watch it and i will be here too, if not at the end of the day i'm going to support you here and there, have a nice day/night :)

Just my thoughts, but I don't think you'll find something new with JoJo. It just gets weirder and wackier, but not necessarily better.
