The hype around this ep was less about the actual ep and more the implications of it for the future of the story since this is the real starting point of the main conflict.

Boruto anime has pacing issues because the manga only has monthly releases and because the anime started too soon. Like you said 151 episodes in and they have only covered about 15 of the 47 or so manga chapters. Ideally the story will start to pick up because the first ten chapters of the manga dealt with the chunin exams and the momoshiki fight. There is bound to be more anime original content to slow the pacing, but the story is starting to flesh itself out more by introducing the akatsuki 2.0 . The anime requires a lot of patience unfortunately but based on manga content and direction its bound to be worth the payoff down the line.

the anime start going manga now just let you know it start at episode 179 and episode 157 to 175 there is a arc and that arc is really fireeeeeeee, it start slow but it become really fire lately
