sim

I hope ur next anime will be Hajime no Ippo :) A lot of fun epic moments and excellent boxing fights ^^I don't like box personally but this anime is brilliant :)Btw Gon's hair was so long cuz he just aged and as u age ur hair grows ^^ Pretty simple. Replacing HxH with Black Clover is not worth cuz it got only 90 episodes and it is still going while Hajime no Ippo have 3 seasons which ended :)

Yo Fairy Tail is garbage. It takes the "friendship power" troupe to the highest level you can get. Antagonists that are shown to be far above all protagonists in the series, will literally get one shotted by a single protagonist because of friendship power. It's absolute nonsense, don't watch it.

Edgar

i would not recommend seven deadly sins or black clover. Beyond the fact both series are not as good as hxh or something like death note, The anime adaptations are just piss poor. There are far better shows to pick from , with far better writing and production values

As someone who has watched anime all my live I personally think most Shounen anime (seven deadly sins, fairy tail, black clover, Naruto, One Piece) are pretty bland and unnescesarily drawn out. There are a few notable exceptions such as Hunter x Hunter, FMAB and Attack on Titan (so most of what you are watching right now). If you are looking for more shounen i would recommend looking into Haikyuu, a sports-shonen that actually has amazing action, animation, character development and heart. It also doesnt really have filler or unnescesary padding

Your gonna love black clover.. I’ve been following your reactions since the T.o.P in DBS and I could honestly say it hits all the check marks for the things you like in these type of anime

Change the pace a little and go with Steins Gate! it is really good!!

Steven Fechter

If you remember gon said "I dont care if this is the end, Ill use everything". That was basically the moment he made a covenant with his nen similar to how kurapika did but instead of just "betting everything", gon is "using everything". His hair got long because his body forced itself to age to a point he could beat pitou and his hair was floating because of the nen I guess? I imagine its similar to dbz where showing off power makes their hair shoot up. Also I officially recommend Mob psycho 100 if you havent seen it. Its a popular one right now for reactors for good reason. Its got great humor, great action, and great characters. And both seasons put together are only 24 eps.

Sean Nelson

He has seen mob. And yup he traded all his nen his life energy for this.

Sean Nelson

Next reaction will also be hype. 135 you have to watch to the end there is stuff during the credits and after.

Since it hasn't been brought up already and it doesn't really get addressed in the anime, the rose bomb is relative to a nuke, and there is a certain phenomenon that happens with nukes that is going to affect the ants that were near the blast site. That's why they're all shown to be bleeding suddenly.

Scryehard

There is no spell, you dumb-dumb. It's a figure of speech. And that was Gon's hair. He obviously super-aged his body. Guess what grows with age? Hair. So of course his hair grew as well.

I love this Arc but if there was one thing I hated about it, it's Gon's story line in it. The Chimera Ants have killed hundreds, probably thousands of people. Innocent people. Children, mothers and other civilians. It sucks that Kite died. But unlike most people the Ants killed, he wasn't a civilian. He aws a Pro Hunter and one of very few who actually had the resolve to die. As cruel as it sounds - Kite should be the last person to be mourned. He died in the line of duty, a job that he chose on his own, knowing the risks, and prepared to die. Unlike kids who were just having a walk, for example. This entire Arc Gon acts like Kite was the only person in the world and he was all that mattered - literally nothing else mattered. May the rest of the World be damned. The whole situation could have meant the end of humanity (worst case scenario) but apparently the only think that matters is "Kite! Kite! Kite! Gotta save Kite!" The worst part about it: He doesn't even do it "because he loves Kite so much!". He just does it because he feels guilty lol. Gon isn't being the "kind hearted guy" we've come to know him as. He's just being a self-centered little brat! This entire Arc he didn't care about the Chimera Ants and the threat they posed. He doesn't care about his Hunter collegues who could die, too, just like Kite. When it comes down to it, he doesn't even care about Kite or what Kite would have wanted. All he cares about is HIMSELF. And his guilt. I mean...is this supposed to happen on every mission/job now? Someone Gon knows dies and Gon goes completely awol and loses it? He gets focused on one small thing and if the rest of the squad can't successfully work around it or the nature of the job doesn't allow for that kind of selfishness on Gon's part, the job is fucked and possibly everyone dies? If you put it that wway, it makes Gon sound like the worst Hunter shown in the entire series... Usually the story of a show would be centered around a main character. But in this Arc the overarching story wasn't centered around Gon at all. It was a much "bigger" plot. ...But instead of having a main character who is an active part of that "bigger plot", we get one who tries to make it all about himself. Although everything he's dealing with isn't actually that important regarding the bigger plot. Like...not really sure what's supposed to be enjoyable about watching that happen. He didn't have to be such a self-centered brat....it could haveall been written in thousands of different ways (while still being able to flesh out Gon's character, show his struggles and growth etc). But... Togashi chose this route. Unfortunate.

I get where you're coming from, but I think the biggest problem with you analysis is that you're trying to turn Gon (and hunters) into a hero. Just because Gon is the protagonist doesn't means he's a super hero. you know? I mean look at the hunter exam he watched lots of people die without batting an eye. Gon didn't set out to save the world. He joined this mission to save Kite/get revenge. In the manga Gon and Kite were much closer, as opposed to the other hunters. I think it actually makes Gon a more relatable character. You said that " He gets focused on one small thing and if the rest of the squad can't successfully work around it or the nature of the job doesn't allow for that kind of selfishness on Gon's part, the job is fucked and possibly everyone dies? If you put it that wway, it makes Gon sound like the worst Hunter shown in the entire series..." If that's the case then in the end Netero was at fault.. Why didn't he call on all the hunters? Plus a big factor in this arc was how Meruem gained more humanity as time progressed and Gon lost his.
