When Arthur and I wrote Double Dip, we did a lot of planning before the comic went into production. He wrote the first nine servings (1-9) with some input from myself, then I wrote the next eight (10-17) with some input from him. The final eleven servings (which later ended up being sixteen) were written exclusively by Arthur with minimal notes from myself. Not only was this the biggest batch of servings, but it was also the most lengthy. I've spent a bit of time these past few days trying to trim down Arthur's notes and sketches to consolidate them into something executable. The only issue is, each page isn't big enough to house two rows of panels. What I'm proposing is this:
Rather than fund another artist this month to do another comic, I was thinking that I would compensate everyone by doing more 3-row pages. Normally, I put out one 3-row with every batch. This time, however, I'm thinking maybe 2 or 3. If each page is roughly $100, then each row could be seen as being worth around $50. With $120 leftover this month, this could easily satisfy several bulkier CC pages. I'm laying out the sketches for Servings 26-33 today, so please let me know if you're supportive of this.
