December Update (Patreon)
Content
As for me, I haven't decided to what to translate next. The moment I have something to translate, I'll rebegin having translation reports to post. The free short content update for Meltys Quest is literally in the drawing phase, so there is nothing for me to translate there. As there likely won't be any content updates from me for this month either, there's no hard feelings from me if anyone wishes to cancel their pledge.
And if anyone has been following along my personal life and wishes to know the results of last months exams: They were benign tumors! Gotta stay in shape and healthy though and hope they remain benign the next time I check up on them in six months!
So medically there's still a bunch of routine check ups and stuff I need to do from now until the middle of January but the most dangerous possibility is crossed out so that's a big relief.
In the world of eroge we're heading into 2018 and since last time I posted about recommendations for this holiday season, I'll talk about the eroges I'm looking forward to next year.
My big number one is definitely Rance X by Alicesoft. My favorite classic titles from Alicesoft were Kichikuou Rance, Beat Angel Escalayer and Daiakuji. I really only started playing Alicesoft games around Beat Angel and Daiakuji, but Kichikuou is definitely my favorite from that era which I first started playing when Rance 6 came out. So it's been what like, wow, 13 years or so since I first played Rance and finally the series is finishing up, why wouldn't I be excited as fuck. I don't think there's any choice at this point but for Rance X to be good after it's been delayed from its original 2016 estimate.
My number two to look forward to will be Monster Girl Quest Paradox Part 3. My eroge of the year for 2017, not including Meltys Quest because I'm biased, would be Monster Girl Quest Paradox Part 2. That was a good fun game with plenty to do and offer. I'm fucking stroked to see how the story will end in Part 3 (And also for the secret true third Chaos route with Sonia)
My number three will be Shine Mirage by Mille-feuille. Like all other Mille-feuille games, it is an adaption from manga/novel material. The original web novel version of Shine Mirage is actually available for free on syosetsu. So what's so good about this game that I'm looking forward to? First is that I love the source material, aka the novels it is based on. Second is that this would be the second side scroller Mille-feuille will be doing, the first being Mistletear/極煌戦姫ミストルティア which is easily in my top 5 eroges from 2016.
So if you've been studying Japanese, do try out these games that I've mentioned here in preparation for their sequel/spiritual successors in 2018. So with that, I hope everyone will have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year with plenty of Meltys in your virtual stockings!
