Hello, I hope everyone took their flu shots and are warm and comfy for the upcoming winter. I want to write a post updating on my current status but that might be too boring for some people so I'm going to add some recommendations for suggested readings too. Skip the second and third paragraph of this post if you don't care about my status since it's going to be like a personal blog post.

First, damn half of the month is already over. Basically for the last two weeks I've been going here and there to see five different doctors. Visiting a doctor isn't a very pleasant experience mentally right now for me because fundamentally there is no reason to see a doctor unless something was wrong. Not having work right now kinda paradoxically   biting me back in the ass because I can't even distract myself with work. I had a forty minute long MRI last week, and I have to decide if I want to hear the results this week so close to Thanksgiving or just delay it to next week. Depending on the results I might need to get a colonoscopy which I'm also not looking forward to. So at least two more doctor visits this month if I'm lucky, three or more if I'm not so lucky.

As for translating stuff, I'm probably not going to be doing any of that for the rest of this month, so this is most likely the last content post of the month. If you're a patron and don't want to donate this month, that's fine too. I only ask that you subscribe so you can hear news when I make another post. Also Sachinama opened his own Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/sachinama. There's no content there right now but I'm sure he'll come up with much better value for your money than I can.

Because I want to end the last post of this month on a positive note for the future, let's talk about games and stuff! Since Meltys Quest, I am playing Fate/Grand Order on the Japanese servers (mobage) and I played 奴隷王女シャルロット (untranslated Fire Emblem-ish eroge) to completion. It's pretty fun and definitely worth its small price, however it's all in Japanese. I recommend the normal mode if you do play it since it's already really easy. I don't recommend starting on F/GO if you haven't started since it's just gambling.

And since it's the holiday season, I'm going to recommend some other recent and upcoming eroges to check out this season. As a note, I haven't contacted or been contacted by the people involved in the following games, and it's only an endorsement of their original Japanese version because I haven't played the translated version so I can't tell you if their quality is good or not; they probably are since they weren't translated by Google Translate.

First up for translated eroges is Little Busters. If you read visual novels you probably already knew about it. Honestly, personally I'm not a huge fan of Little Busters but a lot of other people are. If you haven't read it yet and can stomach the outdated engine and resolution, I would actually recommend Clannad over Little Busters.

Second is Eiyuu*Senki. I'm really not sure why JAST chose to license Eiyuu*Senki over its superior remake, Eiyuu*Senki Gold. But in terms of the gameplay they're both kind of the same. The major difference between Eiyuu*Senki and the Gold remake is that the major characters, specifically Himiko, are rewritten. But minor characters, which is pretty much most of the cast, are pretty much the same such as Billy the Kid and the knights of the round table so it's not like Eiyuu*Senki is just some crappy edition. In fact if JAST ever do translate the Gold edition, it's still fine to have played both versions just to see the same characters react to different events and talk to different characters. It's very much a character game anyway.

For upcoming translated eroge, I have to recommend Evenicle. This game was a sleeper hit that no one was expecting to be so good; so even though that surprise is now gone it is still an excellent game in its own right. If it gets a localization worthy of the title then it will be very worth your money.

As for non eroges, if you haven't tried it yet then I recommend getting Persona 5 this holiday season. Distract your friends by telling them to buy Meltys Quest so you can play Persona 5 in peace with no one spoiling it.

For untranslated eroge, I'm personally really, really looking forward to Kyonyuu Fantasy 3if this month. I tried the demo for Venus Blood -Brave- and I wasn't that impressive since they took out the super fun team building aspect from the previous games. The Kyonyuu Fantasy series has actually been partially translated and is called FunBag Fantasy I think. It's a visual novel series with very fun and uplifting characters and stories, and is also one of the few eroges that has a big cast of interesting male characters. The title might be called Funbag and it is about funbags but the male characters have fun roles too.

This post turned out pretty long so that's it for me now. Have a safe and happy Thanksigiving everyone!

It's a very rare bug, but when that happens just go back to the title and start a new game.

With the new version, it should disappear when you reload your save file.
