This is the transcription i made long time ago on my notebook and recently I made it into PDF.

This Donna Lee is from 1974 album. (the small group one with Kenny Barron)

The tempo is very fast and even gets faster around the drum solo. Every 4 bar is iconic and has Buddy Rich phrases. It's one of the best solo to showcase the representative Buddy Rich lick in one song. He tends to play the phrases either using the idea of front soloist or not. Also he tends to play something entertaining (kinda funny to watch) in the middle. In this case, the last 2 bars of 5th one is the good example. This phrase is frequently used in Killer Force era and late 80s too.

Also the last solo is very clear to indicate the last bars for the band to come in. This idea is very simple and practical for all jazz learning drummers.

I would love to play this sometime soon.

Thank you for reading and as always, Keep swingin'!
