Nerd has always played the devil's advocate, even before this podcast. It would be hypocritical to expect him to make an exception to that for a specific person, whether or not you find him worthy of being advocated for.

There's a difference between devils advocate and just straight up trying to make a person look bad. Which is what he was trying to do for the majority of the podcast. If all he wanted to do was say "hey allexx hasn't responded yet. Why don't we just got a little easy and assume he's innocent until he responds?" Fine. All good. I don't see anything wrong with that. But saying "let's not confuse it what she did wasn't heroic" when referring to Alice. THE ALLEGED ABUSE VICTIM. recording her conversations. That's what I have an issue with.
